“As always a very pleasant experience with amazing service and food from both the owner and staff. I made a last minute change to my order and they were kind enough to accommodate it with no issues. I would highly recommend their food as I spoke to the owner and he explained all the changes he’s made since they took over 4 years ago and continuously look to better their food.”

“On the contrary to some of the other reviews.. Where do I start? I have so many good points to make about this place. I used to go for lunch here with my baby daughter (materinity leave) in 2015 and back then I was so impressed by the freshness, the portions, the cleanliness and Jay (the owner, down to earth and warming service skills). It's always very quiet and clean so this automatically gives you a nice ambience. Fast forward to now, whilst most establishments have gone downhill after covid, Makiyaki went up several levels. They updated the decor (gorgeous), their crockery is very up market and their sauces that are drizzled over the sushi is fantastic. Jay the owner is extremely humble and polite and is a great chef and puts his all into everything his does. Alongside him, his wife also runs the restaurant. She is very efficient and conscientious about every detail. It's nice to see a restaurant go from strength to strength and their dishes are worth every penny. Recommendations are: scallop Volcano, scallop crunch, Gyoza (very fresh), England, Spider and kingston roll. I have lots of other favorites but the new addition is their pancake desert. Wow.. Thank you for always delivering an excellent experience and of course we shall be back.”

“When I catch up with my pal who lives in Epsom, invariably we'll have dinner here. And so we did on Saturday. As ever the service was excellent and the food arrived quickly.Vieira is a gentleman. The atmosphere is always friendly in this restaurant and management is top notch. I shall be visiting again soon.”

“A cold and slightly rainy Sunday morning deserves a coffee and walnut cake, with a cappuccino, right? Both were lovely, and one of the young ladies from the staff there asking how the coffee and cake were is a nice welcoming gesture. There’s a play area at the back of the shop (which I didn’t photo as there are children playing there) and the overall ambience was pleasant.”

“What a wonderful place to find on our last night in London! To our delight, Gazelle is an amazing person with a delightful personality! She was so fun to talk to about her travels and sharing with her our travels. Then there’s the pizza!!!! Oh my, their pizza is so wonderfully tasty. We were two couples and we each ordered a 14” pizza ordered exactly as we wanted. What.a.delight!! Matched with Heinekin, Corona & Pinot Grigio…it was a match we will remember for a very long time! I suspect eating in meant the food was better but when is that not the case?? Recommend for anyone in the area to try. Based on tonight it’d be a loss to not see it get customers it deserves”
