Has got to be one of the best and reasonably priced lunch break for a long time. Staff very friendly and willing to help. And will literally go out of their way to accommodate if possible. “Picked this venue for a coffee after reading the great reviews and was not disappointed. Don't be fooled by the modest entrance, the shop is a visual cornucopia of artistic delights. The drinks arrived in cute, hand painted cups and saucers, with small wooden spoons and the coffees adorned with coffee art. We sat and took in all the amazing decor which was for sale: cups, small serving dishes, bags, spoons, a menagerie of small crocheted animals with some in key ring form plus so much more. It was a feast for the eyes and brain to take in everything that was on display. The coffee was equally good and hope to try one of the cakes next time. An absolute joy for the senses and would highly recommend.”

“Little gem on Fulham Palace Road! This is an independent café offering great speciality coffee (the owner, Chris, specialises in latte art and has created an extensive menu of coffee and non-coffee items, including great iced options). Its unique feature is to match the coffee offer with authentic Filipino cuisine which is made fresh on site every day. I tried the food on several occasions and I was always extremely satisfied with it! It’s great to be able to explore a different culinary culture, while sipping speciality coffee all along! Keep up with the great work guys!!!”

    Freedom Caffe' Tearoom

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Open

“I've only ever driven through Cheam before my visit yesterday, a trip by public transport (tram and train) from Croydon specifically to visit the Whitehall museum, housed in a grade II* listed former domestic dwelling dating from before the reign of Henry VIII. While the museum is an important place of reference for local history, geared more towards children than adults, it also houses the excellent Freedom Caffe' tearoom. The restrictions imposed by such an old, historic house may mean they can't use a normal commercial coffee machine but the range of soft drinks is impressive and more importantly, the vegan options for lunch are delicious. I highly recommend both the vegan sausage roll with salad and the vegan Greek. Then there are the cakes... The only vegan option on the day was a chocolate pear and apple cake but it was gorgeous and the staff were attentive and friendly and the food reasonably priced. I also noted the fresh pasta preparation. There's more to Cheam than the museum but whatever else you're doing it's well worth making sure you visit the Freedom Caffe' for a drink and a bite to eat.”

    Daniel's Cafe & Patisserie

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Open

“Daniel’s Bake in Maida Vale is the kind of place that reminds you why great hospitality matters just as much as great food. From the moment I walked in, the staff set the tone—genuinely warm, attentive without being intrusive, and clearly proud of what they do. That welcome alone already elevated the experience. The food, however, is where Daniel’s Bake truly shines. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared, with a clear focus on quality, balance, and flavour. Nothing felt rushed or careless; it was comfortingly indulgent yet refined, the sort of food that exceeds expectations rather than merely meeting them. What ties it all together is the atmosphere: relaxed, inviting, and quietly confident. It’s rare to find a place where the service, food, and overall experience align so seamlessly, but Daniel’s Bake manages it effortlessly. An outstanding visit from start to finish—this is a bakery worth going out of your way for, and one I’ll be returning to without hesitation.”

The food is delicious, lovely drinks, cakes, sandwiches etc etc.. the merchandise is reasonably priced and it's really nice to have that to look at while we're sat chatting... and the flowers are also a beautiful bonus! To top it all off, the service is invariably wonderful and we are always made to feel welcome, as is Fergus (the sausage dog) :-) Go there as soon as possible! The food is cooked in front of you and a nice slap of butter for you to butter your toast. It was good quality ingredients used full of favour. There is a football table in here as well as table tennis. Would definitely eat here again. And the bread and the presentation was very good too. Plus they have half price offer for kids at the moment. I need to visit again!!!!!!! Heart ♥️”
