“As soon as we found out that Chi Ni is opening second branch in Sutton, we decided to give it a try. After all, Indo-Chinese dishes are mine personal favourite. The place is slightly smaller than Tooting branch, it's better to book a table. The menu is slightly different. We ordered okra and volcano chicken with egg fried rice. Excellent taste. Their cheff knows what he is doing. Definitely will return for more.”

“Yes yes yes! Absolutely loved this little hidden restaurant near Sutton Sainsburys. We went when it was Rio. It was lovely and very spicy but we like it that way. Service was great and we had lots of laughs and conversation with our server. Wine was lovely and beer was cold! Fantastic”

“18/05/24 - Tops Pizza is consistently good. The pizzas aren't doughy like some of their competitors, and they offer good value for money for collection only deals. It is also one of the few places in Sutton where you can get a late night pizza after midnight.”

“I've never written a review before but after the experience I've just had it's the least I could do. I visited Bar + Block in Sutton and had the absolute pleasure of being served by Jessie, who was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, she was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. Jessie anticipated our needs effortlessly and made the whole experience feel smooth and enjoyable. She knew the menu inside out and gave spot on recommendations. It’s rare to find someone so professional yet genuinely personable, she really elevated the entire dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious, everything was cooked to perfection. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for Jessie again.”

“I had their Spicy chicken sandwich, and my Mrs had Portobello mushroom & Brie cheese sandwiche, along with coffee. All of them were delicious, especially the Speciality coffee that I had, it has Irish cream, Kaluha coffee liquor. Previously I had cakes as takeaway from them, they were also delicious. Seating and ambience is very comforting and cozy. My wife loves this cafe . Owner and staff are very warm and polite. I'll highly recommend anyone who visits Sutton.”

“I celebrated my friend, Jennifer’s birthday here today. It was her third visit, and Ejder immediately recognised her — such a lovely personal touch! He even made her a black paper rose, which was such a thoughtful and welcoming gesture. The birthday arrangement was wonderful, with a sparkler on the cake and the staff singing happy birthday. Ejder truly made our day special — thank you for such a memorable and enjoyable experience! “The food here is always amazing. I have never had a bad dish. My favourite dishes are the Mango Flower Dumplings, Chicken Massaman and the Pad See Ew (which is one of their specials). The staff are very friendly and accommodating too. I would definitely recommend booking in advance because it gets very busy due to its popularity!”

“A last minute booking to take my father out for lunch. I hadn’t been here before , and my father had mixed reviews but I thought the menu looked good. I dont know why it would have mixed reviews, the staff and food were faultless. We were welcomed warmly and seated comfortably by the window. We were attended to quickly through our visit, but never rushed. Between 3 of us we had Bruschetta, Calamari and Gamberoni to start. Followed by Pesce Spada alla Sicilian (2), and Spiedini di Pesce and finished with a cheesecake , affogato and an Espresso. My favourite dishes were the Gamberoni which was a generous portion of prawns bathing in a garlicky butter and spinach sauce, and Pesce Spada , a large piece of swordfish smothered in a rich tomato, olive and caper berry sauce with a fresh and zesty side salad. Thank you to Casa Blanca for brightening a dreary Thursday. We will see you again”

“So glad i live around the corner from this place. They remain the BEST in SUTTON. Their food is always fresh with large portions and very fast delivery. What i love the best about this place is that even though i live 5 min walk away they still dont hesitate to deliver it. They always make sure that the delivered food is hot. “[SHORT VERSION] One of the best Japanese food we’ve had in London. Prices were MORE than reasonable and the portions are big. You should eat here. [LONG VERSION] The Food: We first had the Yuzu Yellowtail Tiradito. The first mouthful me and my partner had, we looked at each other and said, this sort of flavours could be easily served in fine dining restaurants. Very complex sweet, sour, and a small beautiful hint of spiciness to it and then the yellowtail tasted so fresh. Not one bit of slimy/fishy smell or flavour to it. We then had the mixed tempura. There was no usual dipping sauce and we thought it was a bit sad, but when we had our first bite, it was so crunchy and tasty that too much sauce would ruin it. You could really taste the freshness of the prawn. My partner and I think that proper japanese chefs pay attention to detail, so we check how they prepare their food, and they delivered. The tails of the prawns were completely clean with no black marks at all and the vegetables were so fresh too. We also had the pork katsu curry, which had the entire bowl covered with the pork cutlet and a really powerful japanese curry sauce(very flavourful)[no photo as someone took a better one that does justice to it]. The Chef and the Place: To be honest, I found out about this restaurant passing by it early morning(it was closed) on our to the bus stop, and I checked the reviews(high). I thought we would drop by later that night. They said that they don’t do reservations as it is really a small place(mainly takeaways), with bar like setting(stools lined up along the window and along where the chef prepares sushi) and 1 small table on the side. We went in later for dinner and were surprised that there wasn’t a single Japanese staff in the place, I even looked outside to check if we were in the right place. So we’re like, ok let’s just order, we’re here already and as soon as we tasted the food, we loved it. We talked to this Sri Lankan chef and asked how the hell his food tasted this good and we all had a good laugh. He’s been in the Japanese Fine dining field for 25 years and he wanted to start his own little restaurant serving cheap but high quality food. We spent 2 hours talking about Japanese food, and how they store, prepare, and present their food. They even showed us that they use only the highest quality ingredients all the way down to the salt they use for the sushi. These guys are lovely human beings and they are also highly skilled in what they do and they need the recognition. Thank you for the lovely meal. It was a pleasure meeting you guys. P.S. Thanks for the special off-menu aburi salmon!”

“We haven’t even left yet and I’m writing this review. We arrived as a family of four with one of our daughters being 2 month old, they were so attentive and gave us a good space for our pram and a good place to dine. The food was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t get enough of the seafood linguine, the waiter even put extra cream in my sauce as requested. My wife and eldest daughter both had pizzas and they were so light and fresh, with both of them devouring them within minutes! We live far away so will struggle to return as soon as we’d like, but we WILL be back!”

“This place is an absolute hidden gem in Sutton. The food is fantastic. It is so so amazingly tasty. The portions were large. We ate in and also did take away, with the standard of food being the same whether eat in or takeaway. The lady serving us was efficient and kind. Lots of Chinese people eat and take away here.. we are now regulars here…. And are slowly tasting everything on the menu… with the Singapore laksa being our favourite.”
