“One of the best sushi places in the area! For the price you pay, you get authentic, good quality sushi with a wide range of choices. I usually get it on Deliveroo and occasionally will pop in. The cafe only has two seats so it’s recommended to get takeaway. The chef there is always friendly and makes sure you are happy with your food. The sushi fish selection is varied and has things like butterfish and sea bream which aren’t so common. I’ve never had a disappointing or below standard meal from them. Always delicious and fresh! There is also a mini selection of Japanese products which is wonderful. If you are in the area, you need to come here - don’t bother with any of the other high street places. This is the place for authentic sushi.”

“I just came in my mom for an parental outing and we decided to go here. It was so much better then I expected. Food was so good I ate it up in under five minutes. And the staff seemed very nice, queue went along fast as well. 10/10 would definitely order from here again”

“During our stay in London (July 2025), we ate twice at the Japanese restaurant Mikawa in Shepherd’s Bush. Everything was excellent. You can even order dishes that aren’t on the menu. I asked for udon with beef, vegetables, and extra garlic — and that’s exactly what I got. Absolutely delicious!”

“The best sushi I’ve had. So much variety of ingredients and flavours, the rice is cooked perfectly and the fish is very fresh. The portion sizes are large and the chef is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are great. This was our second time coming and we will definitely be coming many more times. Highly highly recommend!!”

If you order in person, the place looks like a literal hole in the wall (just a window, no shopfront) off the main road, but don't let that put you off. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. “Absolutely unreal! We popped in and easily booked a table for 30 minutes later. Once seated, the staff brought us water and even fixed a wobbly table — the attention to detail was brilliant. Service throughout was excellent. We tried a mix of dishes: the beef bulgogi (incredible), yang yum and soy garlic chicken (both delicious), takoyaki (unreal), and agedashi aubergine and chicken katsu — all fantastic. “Already upon arrival it was clear that the service would be very considerate, we were offered a table kindly. the interior is unique, we liked the minimalistic design and the color scheme. Picking the food was easy (the menu was very clear and had explanations for words we didn’t recognize). The owner helped us also with his recommendations. we ordered sashimi mix, crispy crunch and this super good salmon, avocado and eel sushi that was recommended to us. food arrived fast and the quality was top tier. we left feeling well fed but light. Probably because all the ingredients were so fresh. Also the drink selection is nice and filled with also healthy options.”
