“Fantastic Bar with amazing people running it, and such a friendly crowd inside all round great atmosphere. Superb drink choice, with beers (north/ South my favourite) and cocktails a plenty (Gin Bramble my wifes favourite). They really go all out to look after you and your dogs too. My pug loves going, I have a pint she has some biscuits!”

“Went here for my sister’s 30th for Sunday lunch with my family. The food was incredible and the gravy was so shiny and delicious and there was loads of it! A true northern restaurant. My grandpa also has dementia and we requested that the food was served quickly. They were very accommodating. Can’t wait to come back and try the small plates.”

“I love this place's food It's spot on very tasty and good portion sizes. It can be a bit of a wait sometimes as it is busy and only 1 cook but its well worth the wait. The chef seems to genuinely care about the food and presentation. so if you've got the time to just sit and relax over great Coffee and superb food you will love it”

“Been wanting to check out since moving to the area and loved the cozy atmosphere. I was SO happy they had vegan milkshakes as I've not been able to find anywhere that makes them! That and my avocado bagel was delicious. Love the different food options for a little brunch. Service was super friendly too. Will definitely be back to try their tea and coffee.”

“Poynton tea rooms catering did a lovely buffet for my mum’s wake. Everything was taken care of with a fantastic variety of menus to choose from. Everything was well appreciated particularly the chicken skewers, chocolate cake and scones with cream and jam. The vegetarian platters were very well received and appreciated. “I popped into Coffee Block for a quick brew and a teacake, and it absolutely made my morning. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and cheerful — she greeted every person who walked in with a big smile and genuine warmth. It was lovely to see how she chatted with the regulars, taking the time to ask about their day. The atmosphere felt so positive and welcoming, and the coffee was spot on. A lovely place all round, and I’ll definitely be returning soon!”

“Came for breakfast on a Saturday. No wait to order and good came in about 5 minutes ago. Great choice on the menu, we had the smashed avocado with egg and Reuben toastie. The beef was super peppery, great quality of ingredients. A lovely little gem right by the station!”

“Absolute hidden gem. Found this place by accident and will most definitely be returning. I was in a rush and hungry. Service was on point and I would say, they went above and beyond to help me choose from the menu and then, prepare the food within the time I had available. I ordered a halloumi wrap, and it was delish. Highly recommend.”

“Where do I start…. Firstly, I have just left this establishment. I wasn’t disappointed. Flynn was my server. As an avid tapas lover who has visited many other businesses , I can confidently say that I have never had a server as kind and helpful, he really made the experience worth it . he was great. “My friend and I took our 6 year old daughters to the Funky Monkey Christmas party yesterday and what an absolute blast we had! There were fun games and prizes for the kids, plenty of choice from the menu for the kids to choose from and they even got to meet Santa and get a special gift! Our girls absolutely loved their time, and us mums and dads had so much fun too. We even won a prize as adults and can’t wait to have our beautiful Christmas cupcakes!! The staff are wonderful here, and you’re literally made to feel part of the Funky Monkey family from the moment you step in the door! Our food was delicious - we would particularly rate the latte and the banana and toffee muffin and I am looking forward to coming back to try even more from the menu. Thank you so so much to the team for hosting such a fun event last night, you could tell a lot of heart and hard work went into this and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We really hope you’ll host this again next year and in the meantime we will definitely be back for more tea, coffee and treats! Merry Christmas to you all!”

“This place is lovely , my friend and I meet up about once a month and this is becoming our go to for a morning coffee and small bite to eat. It's clean and tidy and plenty of space to get between tables. The staff are all very pleasant and don't leave you hanging about for drinks and soon after comes the food. The poached eggs on toast was done to perfection and the iced coffee was lovely , my friend enjoyed her cheese crumpets too. Lovely place to go for a chat and catch up .”
