“5 stars is not enough, I wish I could give more. The teachers are so kind. I sent all 3 of my kids to this playgroup and it has been a big help, the kids learnt so much and they couldn't wait to go back the next day. They've all helped so much with my son, who is delayed in speech and development. The teachers have been a great support not only to the kids but myself aswel. Cannot recommend this playgroup enough. Best decision ever!!”

“My sister used Homelands for her children and when our first came along my wife visited and was really impressed with it so we signed up. I cannot speak highly enough of this place; it has been a wonderful experience for our 1st, 2nd and 3rd child. Obviously all the child development stuff is a key metric and they have all progressed brilliantly during their time there, but for me it is secondary to the loving environment that is so very evident at Homelands. There are so many nice staff there, and even more that have passed through at times; they have a knack for selecting dedicated, caring and professional people. There is core leadership team that have been there throughout our children's time there that I have found very re-assuring, and I will be sad when our youngest leaves because I see them as sort of an extended family! With Homelands your children will be safe and loving hands. ***From Jan 2020 you can drop off at 730 as well (rather than 8)***”

My little girl attends here and she has the best time, she’s always so excited to go in the mornings and always tells me what a great time she’s had with the biggest smile on her face which as a parent means a lot and shows how great the staff are with her. The owner and staff are all incredibly friendly & make you feel welcome. The preschool is always nice & clean and well organised! Sharon the owner will do everything she can to accommodate your needs as a family. I recommend this place to everyone who’s got young kids looking for the next step before school.”

“My child has been going here for over 3 years and soon to be going to school. I've always felt he's being well looked after, having fun, learning, and safe. The older kids performed a Xmas play last year and we were all really proud to see how hard they'd worked. The start and finish times can be built around your schedule, and they've always been there if I've needed to book an extra day. The kids are well fed with lots of varied and nice freshly cooked meals. We've been very happy here.”

“My little one has been going to First Steps for over a year now and we both love it. All the staff are super friendly and caring with the babies/children. I was very anxious as a new mum and the staff not only cared for my baby but checked in on me as well. Now my little one is starting to talk she comes home and tells me stories about the fun she has had with the staff and her friends. The outside area is amazing and I love that they go out in all weathers. I would recommend First Steps FV to anyone.”

“We could not recomend Children's Choice enough! The have looked after my son since he was 6 months old and the care and love they show him is what every parent would want! They keep me updated on what he's up to and anything I ask for for his care they support! They have recently been doing big brother lessons with him which has been incredible with our newborn who I know will also be in the best hands when he starts there! “We have had two boys attend St Vincent’s pre school in the past and our youngest son currently attends. We are so happy with the experience they have all had. It is a safe, nurturing environment with constantly changing activities for them to learn and play with. They spend a lot of time outdoors which we love. The transition into school was managed so beautifully by the pre school and my boys left pre school well prepared for reception class. The staff are all wonderful, highly trained and professional yet so warm and friendly. I could not recommend more highly.”

“Our son just had his last day here after spending 2 years at Appledore in Moorside. The staff are amazing and so caring of the children I felt confident and comfortable from the start to leave our son in their care. He loved and felt comfortable being left with Leanne Holly or Racheal he started the nursery a quiet reserved child and today you wouldn’t even know it, he is so confident and happy and I believe a big part of his progress has been the staff here I’m sad he has to now leave and move on. If your looking for a safe happy loving learning environment for your children I would recommend this nursery highly.”

“Fantastic preschool setting with very passionate and caring staff. My daughter attended this preschool and I cannot recommend it enough. It was a huge factor in her development especially during covid when the usual socialisation opportunities were extremely few and far between. Now she has started school and teacher's positive feedback on her preparedness level starting reception, social skills and confidence prompted me to write this review. Children are offered a wide range of activities and learning opportunities as well as fantastic support to explore and develop their personalities. Keep up the good work!”
