“I ate here last night with my two children and it was amazing. The food was delicious, fresh, came out quickly, and looked fantastic. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was lovely and clean. It was my 8-year-old's birthday and the staff made him feel so special. They brought out his cake with a sparkling candle and happy birthday music playing. He loved it!”

“We ate in here this evening and it was the best Thai meal we’ve ever had. Went for the salt and pepper ribs and spring rolls to start. The meat on the ribs fell off the bone and the spring rolls were so fresh. The mains were stunning too, salt and pepper chicken with rice and crispy pork, along with the signature loaded fries (topped with chicken and steak slices and leathered in a lovely spicy mayo, barbecue sauce, fresh chillis and spring onion). It was enough to feed four, honestly the portions are huge. It’s a shame not more people were in, because this place is so nice and the price is reasonable for excellent and fresh food. The service is a little slow, but the lady waiting on was lovely and I suppose may have been helping out in the kitchen. The chef also came out when we were leaving to have a chat with us, who was really friendly and welcoming. Overall a lovely meal and will definitely go back.”

“It can get very busy, that tells you what you need to know. Food is really good, portions are well sized and good value for money. If you have any qualms regarding dietary requirements, this is the place to go. They were happy to call me back and double-check dietary issues to avoid disappointment.”

Mains were delicious and good size portions for sharing. Staff were extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend and will be back!”

“We went there to celebrate our friend’s birthday - food is delicious - fish is outstanding, with the candles heating it to keep warm - grilled pork is a must try - soft shelled crabs with curry is recommended - the coconut jelly drink is exotic - staff are friendly; before she took the cake out, she had played ‘Happy birthday’ as the background music for us, which is very considerate - reservation is recommended, as it may be crowded on weekends”

“This place deserves 5 stars. Firstly upon entering the place was greeted by such a lovely and happy Chinese lady. They really do treat you like you are a valued customer. However regardless of this the food. Out of the hundreds of Chinese takeaways I've tried around the uk the food is the BEST. For my order I was told there would be a 15 minute wait. Yes they really did cook everything fresh. Even when I entered the building the lady was making something from scratch. When I got home the food was unbelievable. Sweet and sour chicken, the chicken batter still crispy it was so fresh. And it literally melted in my mouth. The ribs, crispy and extremely meaty, full of meat! The homemade spring rolls were the nicest I've ever tried. Unreal. And everything else we ate was just so fresh and full of flavour Another amazing thing, I didn't get that extreme thirst which you usually get from Chinese takeaways - most likely since the food is homemade and not from packets or jarred sauces. And lastly, pricing. I mean the prices are like they were years ago. Usually a £45 order cost us £29 today I honestly wish that this place gets the recognition it deserves because it really is the best in every possible aspect. Thank you so much pearl garden. “Appropriately named “home Chinese”, I felt like I was eating at a friend’s place, but in a good way.. Attention to detail was great, my waitress Amy, was an absolute dream, she gave the best recommendations and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I would eat here again, it’s so good to find a place that has good food, good service and good prices. “Very nice and friendly lady behind the counter. Even though I got there 5, 10 minutes before closing they took my orde and she helped me go through the menu and choose what I want. The food is delicious, loved all of it but the hot and sour soup was especially delicious. Great food, great customer service from the nice lady and I also like the look of the establishment. “My boyfriend and I visit this restaurant every couple of months as a treat. This is by far my favourite restaurant in Manchester, the food is amazing, the actual cooking of the food is a really fun experience but most importantly the service is phenomenal. I’ve visited about 8 times now and have never waited more than 10 seconds for service, the waitresses and waiters are so on top of everything and very helpful for suggestions and how long to cook each item of food. We usually spend between £30-£50 between the two of us and have a loyalty stamp card that we use everytime we visit for a free item! Cannot recommend enough!”

“We love coming here for the hot pot! We spend a few hours chatting, eating and drinking tea and always have a great time! The soup is flavourful and the options are very good! Lots of fresh vegetables and meats - The staff are always very nice and attentive and the manager/owner is great! I reached my personal best of a measly 11 plates and my partner almost got on the leader board with her 37 plates! ( she's going to try again at Christmas!)”

“Amazing restaurant! First time going to Mint Kitchen as my regular is slipping down hill. The food was ready waiting for me to collect, nice portion sizes, though mint kitchen rice portions are slightly smaller than what I'm used to but all that means is I can actually finish a meal with no left overs. The chicken was really juicy with "no bad bits" (The wife is picky with meat). I think Mint Kitchen is my new regular when it comes to a curry!”

They always give service with a smile and go out of their way to help. They welcome me with fortune cookies. The food always arrives hot and tastes delicious. Their delivery service people come on time. The place is clean. I am astonished by the generous portions they give you. It's like one portion can feed 2 people, and I end up sharing with my daughter.”
