Convenient meals in Salford

“Salford Curry King has been my go to place for Homely North Indian food and delicious dosas for almost 2.5 years now. Their service is amazing, the taste is top notch and portions are quite filling. The aloo parathas are quite authentic. 10/10 would recommend.”

“I will start by saying that this is a Premier Inn, so you know what you are getting from the very beginning, which is why I try to book PI when I go away as I know I will have a decent sleep in a comfy bed and an excellent breakfast the next morning. This Premier Inn was very easy to find, it was a very short walk from Media City tram stop, which was itself a very smooth journey from Manchester Piccadilly station. On this occasion, we had paid a little extra for a Premier Plus room, it was only £10 more than the standard room at the time of booking and it was more than worth it. Check in was nice and easy and the staff member was incredibly helpful, showing us how to activate a second key card for the room. Navigating to our room was also a very simple process (you have to use your key card to get through to the lifts and then again to use the lift, which is excellent security). The Premier Plus room was beautiful and exceeded our expectations, it was roomy, well decorated and had a fridge, iron and ironing board, Nespresso machine and a glorious rainfall shower. The room was spotlessly clean with no faults. We were very excited to see that we had a view that peeked a little onto "The Cobbles" (Coronation Street) as this was the reason for our visit. There is a Co-op a very short walk around the corner from the hotel, which proved very useful and is excellent placement. As always in a Premier Inn, we enjoyed an excellent nights sleep. We also booked breakfast for the next morning to set us up for our day out (I always recommend booking a PI breakfast). We were very impressed with the options available at breakfast, which has something for everyone and suits all dietary requirements. The very lovely, friendly and warm Lizzie ensured we were given the allergen menu (one of us is coeliac) and quickly ordered a plate of "vegan bacon" for us on request. The restaurant was smaller than the one at the last Premier Inn we were in, but we actually preferred this as it felt more intimate but didn't impact on the choice available, which was great! Unfortunately, the coffee machine was broken at breakfast, but there was still instant coffee and tea bags available to make a hot drink and this absolutely does not impact my review at all, as this is something that cannot be helped and we had a Nespresso machine in our room for a proper coffee anyway! Checkout was swift and straightforward, again, as we would expect from Premier Inn. We will definitely be returning when we visit Manchester again and really hope that we see Lizzie next time, as she was outstanding!”

The chicken donners were really nice and the special onions really complimented it. 100% we will be using them as our local regular for kebabs!”

“I went in for fags and buckfast. The fine wee lass on the counter didn't ask for i.d... coz im proper old now!! I was hoping for a brown bag to wrap my bucky in. But instead got ripped off for a 5p bag. 5 bastard pence. No wonder homelessness is on the rise. On a positive note ive drank all the bucky and im going back for another bottle!!!”

“Staying one night in Manchester, and saw this Caribbean place, so had to give it a try, I got the rice and peas with goat curry, and a lamb patty. The food tasted so good! I got the normal portion which was just right, the mutton just fell apart it was so tender, I would highly recommend this place for your Caribbean fix. The music in the place has be wanting to move, the only downfall was that I had a long walk back to my hotel, but the food was worth the walk”

“Excellent!!! Definitely five stars! Brought my six year old here today and it was brilliant! Really cheap and such good fun. Staff brilliant, really helpful and friendly. One staff member in particular helped us a lot with the bigger wall and harnesses. We are 100% coming back. If you're an adult and accompanying a child, wear comfortable clothes because if you're physically able to join in; you will definitely want to! Excellent place. They also serve food and have good facilities.”

Most staff friendly but some could do with smiling a bit more but really a great stores and highly recommended. Snackifry nuggets and chip fab addition. Can't wait for rest of snakifry vending machines to he open.”

“We have always thought Hung Dragon was a great chippy, but it wasn't till we had visitors a few weeks ago, that we realized how good it is. My visitors said it was the best take out they have ever eaten, and they have tried a good few. They are now driving here when they want chippy.”

The chicken shawarma had that smoky, tender texture I look for, and the chicken tikka with rice was excellent: moist pieces of chicken, fragrant spices, and the rice was fluffy and fragrant. “My sister and I attended a Thai cookery experience at Thaikhun in Soinningfields Manchester. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole session. It was very well organised starting with a hot drink on arrival and a cocktail or mocktail with the main course that we had cooked. Noon and Layla were excellent teachers, explaining all the ingredients and processes in detail and making the whole experience interesting and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this as a fun thing to do with family and/or friends. We left with an apron, a book of recipes, a 15% discount voucher for the restaurant and leftovers from the starter and main course we had cooked.”

“What a great premier inn. I stayed in one of their premier plus room and had such a good sleep. From easy check in from the friendly staff to the tasty great value breakfast. Rooms are clean, no noise and great bed. Location is also fantastic.”

“Having stayed at the Treehouse London I was looking forward to trying the newer and larger Treehouse Manchester. I decided to book the hotel as value was good at time of booking and location next to shopping centre and short walk to Aviva Studios was ideal. The room was very comfortable, large and well appointed with amenities needed for my short stay. Wider hotel had lots to offer as well with well equipped gym, plenty of spots to dine and drink and even a movie theatre. Will certainly be considering a future stay and visit to this hotel.”
