“My favourite Indian restaurant in the area. It does not go for an upmarket "authentic" style rather this is honest good value "Indian" food aimed at British taste. BYOB a huge bonus. Some sound-absorbing soft wall coverings would help as (see other reviews) it can get very noisy. But fortunately not for us this last visit !”
“Superb food, friendly helpful staff, what more could you ask for? Having not eaten here before we decided to try a few dishes and had the chicken pad Thai, chicken drunken noodles, spring rolls, prawn toast, spicy chicken wings and a king prawn dish whose name escapes me. Oh and prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce. No complaints at all. The food was stunning and was devoured by the whole family. My daughter was caught off guard by how spicy the pad Thai was but she had a feast of everything else.”
“Brilliant food and the portions on the early bird special were great value for money would recommend”
“Really helpful staff, decent stock levels. Nice and clean.”
“Since my review below, management have reached out to me and have confirmed their cutlery and crockery is recyclable hence I will add another star to my review. Many thanks for response. Very interesting place for breakfast or lunch in Cheadle. This cafe is definitely a positive addition to the Cheadle community - making it feel more like some of the cafes in Didsbury. It is very clean and had a nice friendly atmosphere. The manegment adhere to the Jewish community, hence this cafe is closed on a Saturday. You will find lots of nice things on the menu and everything is well presented and clean as stated above. The reason I can't give this more than the 4 stars, is based on the disposable plates, knifes and forks and coffee / tea cups. I imagine on a good day this Cafe must go through a lot of disposable waste. Not sure if any of this is recyclable (but I have no proof) so effectively this cafe could contribute to world pollution (perhaps comments from management will put me right on this issue). It would be good to have notices saying the cutlery , crockery is all recyclable as this would get another star from me. And lastly but not leastly there is only one Vegan option on the menu. As we all know Veganism is on the rise and it is always good to have more Vegan options on the menu. On the other hand for the Jewish community it isn't an essential - but for the public it might be. In conclusion I would recommend this place as it gives a fresh look to the Cheadle community and it is clean. Worth a visit if you are in Cheadle.”
“Lovely little café with a proper cosy feel. Great coffee, simple honest food, and genuinely friendly service.”
“Absolutely amazing service! I am from Australia but found a way to reach my UK relatives with this beautiful company. After a little mistake on their websites end, the owner went to extraordinary lengths to ensure she could make things right and make sure my relatives in a time of grieving were well looked after with a chocolate, wine and bouquet that looked absolutely stunning! You have found a long time customer in us Spreadboroughs and we highly recommend to anyone and everyone looking for a local small business close to them or their relatives in the Stockport region - even if you do live half way across the world to order them, they make sure the orders are delivered with care and look impeccable.”
“Incredibly helpful staff supported the family to plan funeral flowers. Very attentive to our wishes and end result is absolutely beautiful. Thank you.”
“Excellent for supplying drinks for large events. Accommodating tasting service and advice to determine what you want, an unbeatable selection of wines and beers, and they even allow you to return any untouched excess beer boxes/wine bottles.”
“Stepping into Turquoise in Cheadle is like being warmly hugged by a restaurant that knows its own character inside out. The décor isn’t trying to impress with chandeliers or glitter thankfully but instead wraps you in warmth with local artwork on the walls that feels like it’s been chosen by someone who actually likes art not someone who just Googled “restaurant paintings.” It’s inviting homely and gives you the sense that whether you’re bringing the family for a big feast or sneaking in for a romantic dinner for two you’re in the right place. Now the food. This is where Turquoise flexes its muscles. Take the full English. It’s not a plate of sadness and regret it’s a proper spread. The sausages aren’t your usual limp Richmonds. No these beauties taste like they’ve just been pinched from a farmer who still sings to his livestock. I don’t even like sausages usually but these have that magic balance meaty juicy and full of intent. And if you fancy they’ll happily swap one out for a Turkish sausage which adds a little drama to the plate like inviting a flamenco dancer to your breakfast table. Their Mediterranean and Turkish dishes carry the same ethos generous but never sloppy bold but never brash. You can tell nothing’s rushed here. It all tastes fresh like someone actually cared as they stirred the pot. The staff are relaxed happy and with that ease that says “We’d rather be here than anywhere else.” They don’t hover like suspicious pigeons nor do they vanish when you need them they’re just right. And the value. Well it’s excellent. Other places might leave you nursing the sting of buyer’s remorse but here you walk away content your wallet intact and your taste buds gently applauding. Turquoise doesn’t just feed you it reminds you that food cooked with love and pride makes everything better. And if you’re lucky the sausages might even wink at you on the way out”
“Great place, warm atmosphere Good service. Most of all dog friendly, with the special touch of treats at the bar area for them too.”
“This florist is fantastic! I popped in without quite knowing what I wanted and was delighted to find a wide range of fresh, creative and great value bouquets. The staff member was incredibly helpful and put together a beautifully coordinated gift complete with complementary cellophane and gift box. I’m so glad I chose to shop local. Highly recommend — you won’t be disappointed!”
“I am so grateful for the beautiful bouquet i received for my 60th birthday. The flowers are stunning, a great variety, beautiful colours, really fresh and beautifully arranged. I love them. Thank you to simply flowers, Cheadle.”
“Full marks for the team at Istanbul. Very friendly service, perfectly cooked food and all at a reasonable price. We've been before and we'll be going again and the atmosphere is always really relaxed despite it being very busy. Fantastic Turkish restaurant, thank you to the team who looked after us both.”
“This my second time coming here and the food has not disappointed me!”
“Lovely cafe open end of the week with excellent coffee and brownies/cake. I also highly recommend the breakfast bagel! Staff voulenteers are so helpful and great community atmosphere.”
“We tried A Star pizza this evening and it was great. You can tell they only use great quality ingredients, definitely the best pizza and the only place well be going from now on. Good price as well. The guys are so lovely too and made a fuss of my little boy. There's also the option to eat in if you want. Thank you!”
“My son and I went in half 6 Saturday evening having just phoned ahead to check. Pub was bustling with a good atmosphere and the restaurant was filling up. Lovely friendly staff tended to us throughout the meal which was delicious! I had the chicken fillet, which had lovely crispy skin and the caramelised onion and potato gratin was fantastic and all held together with a great sauce. He had rump steak, medium rare, which was really nicely cooked. Desserts were equally good. I had sticky toffee pudding which was moist with lots of toffee sauce and a really generous helping of ice cream. He had the chocolate and salted caramel cake which was chocoholics heaven! Highly recommended.”
“Had a wonderful meal this evening. It was a rare date night for us as we have young kids.Everyone was wonderful and I loved the service style( attentive but low key)Best curry we have had in a long time.”
“Best Indian takeaway in Stockport. It's been our favourite for years now. Totally agree with the other great reviews. Love the kebabs on generous fresh naan bread.”
“The girls at the village Starbucks are a real credit to the company what should have been a quick order of coffee turned into a pleasant transaction you rarely get today. it really brightened my day. Keep up the great service girls. If I unfortunately find myself back in Cheadle hopefully Claire Chloe and Millie will still be there ❤️”
“There are many Costa coffee outlets in the Stockport area, but this is the best. The staff are fantastic, friendly and efficient, and parking is easy with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors.”
“I have used this store several times over the last few months and I have to say the customer service from this stores staff is excellent. In particular I want to mention one member of staff , Amy, who helped me yesterday . She went above and beyond and I hope she gets some recognition for her outstanding customer service.”
“Been here a few times over the years but first visit since 2020. A very traditional restaurant that has had a much needed make over; including finally updating the toilets. Draught Cobra is always welcome. They currently offer half price food from 5 pm to 6.30pm Monday to Thursday. Jorvic really enjoyed the food. All the classic dishes. Had very fresh poppadums with a generous pickle tray. Tasty lamb tikka and chilli chicken. Two good mains with one pilau rice and one naan. This food plus 4 pints less than £50. Food much improved from last visit. Will be back. They also do a good trade in take away, the phone constantly rings.”
“Superb flowers made for us last minute - thanks again flower fairies for saving the day.”
“Really friendly guy on the desk, he helped me scan the QR code and then sent me an email as proof of postage”
