Meal in Urmston

“This place deserves 5 stars. Firstly upon entering the place was greeted by such a lovely and happy Chinese lady. They really do treat you like you are a valued customer. However regardless of this the food. Out of the hundreds of Chinese takeaways I've tried around the uk the food is the BEST. For my order I was told there would be a 15 minute wait. Yes they really did cook everything fresh. Even when I entered the building the lady was making something from scratch. When I got home the food was unbelievable. Sweet and sour chicken, the chicken batter still crispy it was so fresh. And it literally melted in my mouth. The ribs, crispy and extremely meaty, full of meat! The homemade spring rolls were the nicest I've ever tried. Unreal. And everything else we ate was just so fresh and full of flavour Another amazing thing, I didn't get that extreme thirst which you usually get from Chinese takeaways - most likely since the food is homemade and not from packets or jarred sauces. And lastly, pricing. I mean the prices are like they were years ago. Usually a £45 order cost us £29 today I honestly wish that this place gets the recognition it deserves because it really is the best in every possible aspect. Thank you so much pearl garden. “We went on Saturday 20th Sept despite the terrible weather. Table for four. The food was amazing as always, great choice starters and mains. I often skip lunch when going here to enjoy the duck and pancakes, as well as a main never disappoints. Fillet steak Cantonese is always a good choice. Great service and kindness . They have added an internal porch to reduce drafts for the winter . Very well tested last night in the weather. Enjoyed the evening thank you”

“Picked this place randomly off just eat and its been our go to ever since. Great saagwala. Visited for pick up the other day really clean and well presented establishment. Was advised to order direct through them by phone/website as if the orders about twenty pounds they will likely throw in some extras which they don't for just eat”

“Been ordering from here regularly for the past couple of years. Food is consistently great, delivered hot and on time, same friendly delivery driver. Used to live in the centre of town and would get my takeaway food from various places in China Town and this place beats the lot!”

“Excellent, authentic curries. The dishes are all so full of flavour and so distinct. Often with takeaway curries, you find the sauces are all very generic. My son really loves the child friendly curry. So useful to be able to reheat when you need it. Would really recommend”

“Been wanting to go here since they opened, finally got a table. Heard and read great things about this place. I can see now why it's got such high praise and why it's worth waiting to get a booking. From the moment we entered the place was so inviting, the service was excellent. As for the food it was incredible, not one bad course, I opted for the extra course of pheasant, which I'm so glad I did it was one of my favourites. I've been to quite a few tasting menus and this was up there as one of my favourites. The place has a lovely homely family vibe, the chef/owner came out and chatted to us about one of the courses and we ended up chatting for a little, really nice guy. This is such an amazing addition to Urmston and deserves all the success. Get booked in and you won't be disappointed. We will be returning for the next convenient available slot. Been here a few times now and it never disappoints. The food is incredible we went on Sunday for there Sunday roast and it was amazing, every element was off the scale. I'd go for the three courses as the portions aren't huge but well balanced.”

“Beautiful independent coffee shop. I ordered the Guest Espresso - Friedhats Ethiopian; the strength and flavour were phenomenal, it had a rich sweetness to it. It was really cool to watch their process too.”

“The most perfect coffee, never had a negative experience here. Oat cappuccinos always so tasty:) Often quite loud just because popular with parents+ young children but always a welcoming, cosy atmosphere! One of my go-to cafes!”

“Great cafe 10 minute drive from chill factore / Trafford centre. Small / medium sized cafe, no booking taken over the phone for breakfast, first come first served. We arrived @ 11am and it was very busy. Had to wait about 20 mins for a table but was absolutely worth it and staff where polite and kept us updated whilst we waited. Brunch menu served till 12.30 Cooked breakfast / loaded potato skins / smoked salmon & egg / pancakes etc…. Went for the big cooked breakfast which was truly superb. Hashbrowns i think are home made, and lovely, as re the Cumberland sausage etc. The whole thing was big and filling Would definitely recommend and will return again.”

“Excellent, family-run Italian restaurant that has been open in Urmston for decades. The restaurant is spacious with a quirky décor and delicious food. We were there on a very busy night (Christmas Eve), but we were served by friendly and efficient staff. To start, we had garlic bread and cheese, followed by salmon in a cream and tomato sauce and chicken in a Diane sauce. Both were excellent: the salmon was cooked perfectly, with a light and tasty sauce, and the chicken was moist and flavoursome. I have been coming here for years, and it is always a great experience.”

“I always use Chinatown for my go to Chinese but felt I needed to leave them a review today because they really are the best in the area. Food is delicious and service always with a smile. I went on Christmas Eve and it was very busy, food took a little longer than usual but the lady on the counter handled it very well. I wouldn’t go anywhere else”
