“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are almost unbelievable given the quality you get. Drinks are also great value, with top brands served at very reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help, no matter how busy it gets. They always do their best to accommodate everyone including dietary needs, and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re after a comforting roast, a special night out, or just a few drinks in a warm atmosphere, this place delivers every time. “A lovely cafe with welcoming staff members. They are in the perfect spot for a bite to eat at the end of your walk. They accept cards as well as cash and the prices are reasonable. A Kelly's ice cream on a nice cone was £3. There are toilets too. Parking can be difficult on weekends but we've never struggled in the week”

“The food was beautiful! Really really good. We sat downstairs as there were lots of tables reserved (I'd recommend booking a table if you can) especially if you are visiting on a weekend. The food was really delicious. Dog friendly as well which is a bonus and we even got a sausage for our doggo! Highly recommend!!”

“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”

“The BEST NAAN so far!!!! After a shopping trip to IKEA thought we would drop by for a quick bite, never been to this place before and what a hidden gem it is. This place has a good atmosphere and the service was exceptional. There was so much on the menu and like all other sharwama places all the same, this place did the best and most delicious NAAN compared to other places the food here was excellent even the staff was friendly. We ordered the mince seekh kebab and chicken sharwarma, wanted the mix with lamb but its so popular it was gone. We was suprised when the staff brought us some lentil soup we was not expecting, that was tasty and a good dip to dip with the kebab and naan. The salad was non to fault it was very good even to the napkins lol the quality from start to finish was excellent The price was not bad either you get alot for the money, If you have not tried this place don’t walk, RUN to this hidden gem you will not be disappointed. Try out the NAAN.”

“Diggle lock is a must visit in the Oldham/saddleworth area I’ve been lots of times it’s always great and the staff a super friendly. My favourite at the moment is the steak and eggs with halloumi on the side. The peach ice tea is a must try also!”

“Hidden in a side street is this excellent small family owned restaurant. Sebastian the Italian owner was extremely friendly and hospitable. The food was genuinely the best Italian we had had for a long time (in fact some members of our party even said it surpassed the food they had in Italy). The prices were fair and service was excellent. If you’re in the area it’s absolutely worth grabbing lunch or dinner here, we will definitely be returning when we’re next in Manchester.”

“Best pizza and donna in Oldham if not Manchetser. Super awesome pizzas , now that’s what you call a pizza, I felt I was back in Italy non of those fat stojjy pizzas these were thin crust baked and delicious. Oh and the amazing lamb meat donna was fantastic not to forget the buffalo’s strips they were delicious . Oh and if you love spicy hot then rest assured you’ve come to the right place. The whole experience was great!!!! They’ve smashed it !!!!”

“This is our Fifth time in here. Never failed. We had the Brunch menu, my Lily had crêpe and she said it is tastes like pancakes which she likes very much. And my Ami had a nice chicken burger. Already planning the next visit. Keep up the good work guys. Fantastic food and portions are really good.And we had dessert on the house.”

“Only came in for a quick drink. Decent pub, well off the beaten path. Car park for 15/20 cars over the road. Loads of beers on tap. Food did look incredible. But didn’t have personally. Would recommend booking if going for food - not too many tables inside as it’s quite a narrow pub, none the less, still good. And dog friendly. Decent playlist on, Atleast the short time we was there. With sky sports on tv.”

“I don't know why they don't have enough reviews online but the food they make is really good. I was working at a place nearby this, I forgot to bring my lunch that day and looked for something nearby me. I ordered masuma mega mix and believe me it literally had truck loads of meat on a really big naan. Portion size was massive and it's so tough to just eat it all by yourself. The staff is quite generous and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some great food nearby.”

“A superb spot for a relaxed Sunday lunch, where dogs are very much welcomed. The food offering is to a very high standard, whilst not the lowest prices, the cost reflects the quality of the produce. All the staff I encountered were excellent and appeared to be very enthusiastic about what they are doing. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted in the public areas.”

“I cannot fault this Inn! Having wanted to visit the Navi for a few years after visiting the area. I finally got around to it this weekend. What a treat! The Inn is very welcoming and cosy as soon as you walk in and has been finished to a high standard. However, the true gem in the crown is the food! A great selection to meet any requirements and a fantastic list of specials! All the food was delicious, and I would highly recommend it to all!”
