    “I was at St Philips in the early fifties, So was my younger Brother David and younger sister June, we left the area in 1956 I spent one year at Bangor Street school, We moved to Cheadle Hulme in Cheshire, I remember watching our Queen's coronation on a 120 black and white TV brought in by a Teacher, We lived in Thomas st., are famous footballer in our st,was Albert Scanlon who played for Manchester United's Busby Bates in 1952 until the 1958 crash Albert was on of the survivors, Great memories of the school and the area, I also was a member of the St Philips church choir, We were very poor but still had lots of fun playing Street games, like kick can, tig, hop scotch, and skipping, be pleased to hear from anyone who went to school at the same time, I'm almost seventy one now and still working and enjoying life, God bless all , Gordon Ross.”

The students are always well behaved and show Respect and Discipline in all the sessions. The staff are nice and approachable. What really stands out though is that as soon as you walk through the doors you can feel a nice 'family' environment.
