    Footlights Bury

“Our 8yo daughter attends Monday Acting School with Footlights and she absolutely loves it. She gets very excited to go every week because, in her own words, the class is creative and fun. She was asked to write a speech a couple of weeks ago and when she finished, she couldn't have been more proud of herself. We are delighted to see how much confidence in her abilities she has learnt in class and how much she enjoys it. We'd highly recommend Footlights Bury & thank you, Team Footlights, for your hard work and dedication.”

    Educare For Early Years Bury

    ★★★★★ 5 Closed

“I cannot recommend Educare enough. From Becky, the manager, to each and every one of my son's key workers throughout the three years he has been there (Kirsty, Nicola, Emy, Alicia, Lizzie, Amy, Elena), I have always felt he is in the safest hands. Every member of staff is just the loveliest - they put tonnes of effort into the activities they plan, and parents are kept up to date with progress and pictures. Nothing is ever too much, even when I call up in the middle of the day because "he just seemed a bit sad this morning and I wanted to check whether he's cheered up and now having a good day!". They don't just give it lip service, they keep me on the line as they go to check on him, and will pass me on to his key worker if a bigger update is needed. Any time he's had a bump or fall (he's a kid, it's going to happen!), it's been recorded, and I've had a detailed account of exactly how it came about - which ALWAYS matches up to my son's description of the event, too. I really do love all the staff here, they provide a really personal touch which makes the world of difference. And to have your kid come home and say their key worker is their BEST FRIEND is the most heartwarming thing ever. He feels safe, and so do I.”

“Since starting at the nursery over a year ago my 2 girls have come on in leaps and bounds. There are so many educational and fun activities that are incorporated into the nursery routine. The children even do yoga!! My girls come home everyday singing and in a cheery mood. The staff really take the time out to get to know and understand the wants and needs of the children individually and as a group and commuinication with myself and father has been very good.Would highly recommend this nursery.”

“Amazing school and fantastic teachers. Really made an effort to continue our daughters education during the lockdown. Fantastic facilities including cricket pitch, basketball courts, swimming pool, football pitch’s including astroturf. Could not recommend this school highly enough as it has a wonderful family feel to it that is lacking in other schools. We feel they really care not just about the education but the happiness and well-being of there students too.”

Bury CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services)

    ★★☆☆☆ 1.9 Closed

“Very surprised to read some of the poor comments on this excellent service. I have had 2 kids go through this service and I have honestly never seen such consistently high levels of professionalism, compassion and empathy. I understand that when your child is sick, it is easy to get upset, scared and emotional. These are normal reactions, particularly when mental health is concerned. However my experience is of a high quality service delivered by deeply committed professionals. I’d like to mention in particular Mr K Singh, Ms J Lowndes, Dr. Knott, and all the other practitioners that supported both my kids over the years. Thanks to their support, my kids are in much better places than they would’ve been. It is true that NHS waiting times to access CAMHS are extremely long, and I agree that this aspect of the system could and should be better. However, once families are seen, the quality of care provided should not be overshadowed by wider systemic pressures that are beyond the control of frontline staff. Our experience has been one of genuine care, skill and dedication, and I remain very grateful for the support my family received.”
