“Helping Hands have been such a wonderful help for mum. Having a two person team means the job is done quickly and efficiently. The ladies have been friendly and helpful. Periodically the quality is checked at mums house and gives her confidence that she’s getting an excellent job. The administrative staff have been very flexible when we’ve had to change slots due to hospital appointments and that’s a big help to me. Thanks to everyone.”

“Today, I took part on the barge experience as a staff team building exercise. This consists of a range of therapeutic activities, such as: meditation on the barge and outside in the wild, a talk and drawing exercise and completed with a sound bath relaxation at the end. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. An opportunity to be at one with yourself and with nature, feel free and an opportunity to take time out and be reflective. The facilitators, Shazia and Fearn were fantastic, very experienced and welcoming too! I left feeling extremely zen - all in all, an incredible day and a well recommended experience which you will not regret ❤️”

“I’ve done a lot of blocks of therapy and this was by far the most impactful. Kevin helped me help myself out of a really hard situation that was making me depressed. A safe space where I felt like I could talk about everything openly and the way kevin asks questions helped me massively to un muddle my thoughts and align how I was feeling. Very grateful! “I started therapy with Thriving Young Minds in April, with my first session being the first time I had left the house all year. I’m writing this now having just done my last session in August, and it’s safe to say that I’ve made a huge amount of progress with my anxiety. I worked with Adele, who was really nice and helped me make a scale which I could gradually work on week by week. I agreed to set myself a goal after every session, and was given confidence and reassurance that I could achieve what I set out to do. I also spoke about other issues I’ve had with identity and understanding emotions, and I was given validation on everything that I brought up. I learned that it is okay to be experiencing some of the feelings that I have, which has helped to take a lot off my mind. It’s also worth noting that the general atmosphere and environment of the room I was in during my sessions was lovely and I felt safe at all times. Deciding to go here for therapy turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ll be going back to university next month, and for the first time this year I can actually say that I’m not dreading it. I couldn’t be any happier with how this experience has turned out, thank you so much. I can’t recommend this service enough.”
