“Sushi was freshly prepared and perfectly balanced, not dry at all. My only comment would be that the wasabi could be a bit spicier, but I get that this could be to accommodate a Western palate, so fair enough. The service was friendly and the atmosphere of this section of the Arndale I always enjoy as there are many characters and cultures stopping here stopping for a bite. Highly Recommended.”

“Came here for our anniversary meal and it honestly was the best meal we have had! The staff were incredible throughout the night, and whilst we didn’t get their names, the young, blonde lady and the middle aged, olive skinned gentleman who served us a glass of bubbly each were amazing. The food is to die for and trust me you will not be going hungry when you leave. Thank you for making our night an unforgettable experience!”

“Just been there for dinner with some friends on Sunday, the owner (sorry I forgotten his name) just sent us a pizza that we have not ordered, and he said “this is free for you guys, simply because I love your glasses, very special and looking good on you.” No way what a compliment to me!! “Me and my friend love Chinese takeaway and we decided to try that place and honest to god it was so good. We had a create your own noodle box and honestly didn’t disappoint. My friend was so shocked and now every time I see her we always go there to eat. The service is amazing! You can watch them make the food and the drinks there are very cheap. Whenever I eat there I always walk out looking very happy. Best noodle & sushi place ever! If you’re a sushi or ramen/ noodle lover I would definitely recommend going there. “I have visited Unagi on a few occasions now and every visit is always great. The food is delicious! I would highly recommend the Bang Bang Karaage chicken and the salt & pepper fries, these were our favourites but everything tasted so good. Service is always friendly and very attentive. “Best sushi I’ve ever had in Manchester or even UK! Been to Japan few times before, it just tasted like the same as original Japanese sushi. Plus those salmon are fresh and gorgeous, and those are all fat and it will be melted once you put into your mouth. Highly recommended! Especially salmon haha”

“Some of the best ramen I've ever had. Came in here for a last minuet meal before a gig, incredible service and fast food. The pork ramen was smokey and rich with an incredible pull apart pork joint on top. The chicken ramen had a lighter broth to it but full of flavour and morish. Fried chicken was tender and crisp, felt homemade and cozy. The atmosphere was cool and stylish, felt authentic for a small ramen shop, simple but effective. Would absolutely eat here again!”

“We love coming here for the hot pot! We spend a few hours chatting, eating and drinking tea and always have a great time! The soup is flavourful and the options are very good! Lots of fresh vegetables and meats - The staff are always very nice and attentive and the manager/owner is great! I reached my personal best of a measly 11 plates and my partner almost got on the leader board with her 37 plates! ( she's going to try again at Christmas!)”
