“Dishoom Spinningfields is one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. When it first opened back in 2018, it was Dishoom’s first restaurant in Northern England, and since then they’ve set a remarkable standard of both food and service quality and certainly left me coming back for more. The interior is super impressive, cool and unique. Dishoom is based on the old Irani cafés in Bombay, and the interior is so large and feels like no other restaurant in the city. My go-to dishes are the Chicken Ruby with Basmati Rice and occasionally the Gunpowder Potatoes. The portion sizes are generous, and the rich spices of the curry are super good — it’s obvious they use great quality ingredients and seasonings. For drinks, again the selection is vast, with my favourites being the regular Chai and the Mango Lassi, which are both really good. There is always a staff member walking around topping up tap water, so you’ll never go thirsty. The pricing is a little high, but I feel it is worth it for the quality. Matka Holders can also roll a dice at the end of their meal to potentially earn everything for free, food and alcohol included, during certain times. This makes it all fun, being able to put the meal on the roll of a dice. Due to having an allergy, I can scan a QR code on the menu for the latest information, and all the staff members are well trained in dealing with allergies. They’re aware of coeliac disease and the danger of cross-contamination, and always keep my items separate from my friends’ when I dine in a group. Overall, this is one of the places to be in Manchester if you’re looking for good food with fantastic allergy awareness, overall ambience/vibes, food and service quality. It’s a place that you can go for a special occasion or even a quick lunch (although a lunch menu / meal-deal offer would make it even more enticing for sure!).”

“I came to French Tacos at 03:00 in the morning after a long day of work and wanted a quick bite to eat before I headed off home to sleep. As I stepped foot into French Tacos, I was greeted by the 2 guys at the counter, as it was my first time I wasn’t sure what option to choose as there was so many delicious options to choose from the menu, so they helped me out and recommended I try a mixed meat wrap. Whilst waiting I was asked how my day was and had a great chat with the guys. The mixed wrap I had been recommended was really nice and delicious, I loved the potion size and the mixed meats inside the wrap it went so well especially with the cheese. It was perfect. Anyone new to this place or exploring it online for places to eat?, I completely recommend you try this place. Thank you lots to the owners.”

“Staying one night in Manchester, and saw this Caribbean place, so had to give it a try, I got the rice and peas with goat curry, and a lamb patty. The food tasted so good! I got the normal portion which was just right, the mutton just fell apart it was so tender, I would highly recommend this place for your Caribbean fix. The music in the place has be wanting to move, the only downfall was that I had a long walk back to my hotel, but the food was worth the walk”

“Tattu Manchester is one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious — the highlight for me was the sea bass fillet steamed, which was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, creating a great atmosphere for dining. Prices are a bit on the high side, but definitely worth it for the quality of the food, the stunning interior, and the attentive service. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in Manchester.”

“A charming little restaurant with beautiful, wholesome, Polish food. The service was excellent too, the team were super friendly and very keen to chat! The food arrived promptly and everything was clearly freshly made and tasted delicious. We had starters and mains washed down with honey beer (yum!) and finished off with homemade Polish cakes. The portions were generous too. I would definitely go back, we had a great experience.”

Wine and drinks menu with several options, including soft and alcohol free drinks. “Stayed at travelodge lodge central arena as we were staying in Manchester seeing a show, ordered Don Bravo at 11.30pm, arrived before midnight however was missing 2 chips. I rung them and within 15 minutes they had delivered 2 piping hot fresh chips. Food was really good, service was great. I would recommend as well as order again. Thank you.”

“Visited Grindhouse for a quick bite and a coffee to avoid the usual big chains that you can't move for falling over. Friendly staff and service. Had scrambled eggs on sour-dough and I have to say - eggs are easy to get completely wrong and I was very happy that these were completely right! The coffee was also very, very good. My better half had the French toast and reported that it was "very nice" (high praise!) and just the right amount not to make you feel like Jabba the Hutt.”

“I often go out of my way to walk a little bit extra to visit this Costa as I find it a much nicer location than any of the other city centre branches! I'd been wanting to try the tandoori bhaji flatbread for a while but had tried 3 other Costas in Manchester and had no luck. Went to Bridge Street and got one straight away. The staff are always super friendly, the location is more peaceful than others in the city centre and it's always been clean when I've nipped in for a coffee or lunch. This is one of my favourite Costa branches and I would highly recommend visiting this one.”

“Location by the water and in amongst other restaurants is perfect, large outdoor areas front and back. Decor and ambience is spot on. The menu is huge and everything I ordered tasted great. For some the food could be on the spicy side as there is a lot of fresh chilli on many dishes so just ask for less or more Even the dessert was surprisingly good”

“I came here for my birthday meal and I would recommend to anyone, the service was lovely everything was well explained without being overbearing, tablets are intuitive and easy to order from. We ordered 5 dishes each for £21 per person which gave us 10 to share between us and we struggled to finish, for small plates they’re very filling. Though we ordered primarily sushi, there’s lots of variety in flavours and options for dietary restrictions so there’s something everyone would be happy with here. The food was great, out fast and presented beautifully. I was even brought a birthday brownie at he end of the meal which was very sweet. We’d definitely come again (:”

“I was put off coming here to eat because of some of the reviews but decided to try it tonight as I am on a course and in Manchester for 6 weeks . I had the kebab sandwich with donner kebab and lamb seekh kebab and a side portion of chips . I ordered online and collected myself . The kebab and chips were amazing , 5 star all the way . Really hot and fresh and good quality food . The restaurant is immaculately clean , you could eat off the floor . The man who served me was lovely , polite and helpful. I was £15 for my meal and it was enough for 2 people so very reasonable in price . I will definitely be back . It has also taught me not to rely on reviews from others as my experience was a 5 star one yet other reviews are very different . I would highly recommend , give it a go and make your own mind up .
