“Just been. Nom nom nom very tasty! We had a single meat handi which was a tender lamb curry, a mixed salad, a cheese and chilli naan, and the tandoori mixed grill. All very good, there wasn't anything left on our plates. We're very full now. The Indian soundtrack was a bit erratic, it kept skipping and stopping, but the ambience was nice and plush, the food was tasty, and reasonably priced, and the bill came out really reasonable for 2 people who have eaten as much as they physically can- £38. It was so reasonable because we didn't buy drinks- they don't have an alcohol licence yet, so they let you BYOB! So we brought a few lagers, and they provided glasses. A very good evening. They do takeaway also, and cater events, and have a banqueting hall upstairs. It's a very big building the former Greaves Arms.”

I chose the super caesar wrap - lemon /herb with rainbow slaw and Portuguese salad - it was really delicious. I'd had some sad news whilst eating and the manager kindky came to see if I was ok - that was such a lovely thing to do - it meant a lot, thank you so much”

“Great facilities steam room and sauna are nice and clean. However mixed changing rooms is a big concern where is all the safety gone for our kids”

“My Dog had an amazing time here, lovely big secure open space in a very secure field. The Trainers are amazing, they know there stuff, my dog is such a calm boy now. There are so many opportunities to choose from Shows, fun days, photography shoots, events, professional trainer that come to the farm, social walks, group training sessions at all levels and agility, hoopers etc the list goes on and on. Well worth a visit”

“I had a good experience at Allura when doing my pathway to aesthetics training. Everything ran smoothly & on time, I felt very welcome on arrival and was soon shown to my training room. Abbie was very detailed in all theory & made me feel safe when injecting which I thought I would struggle with. Danielle made treatments seem a dream the glow on our models skin was outstanding. Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“We had a great time here, we stayed in Cabin 1 and it was so peaceful. We had our 7 month old to think about and this worked well as we could have dinner and relax in the evening and she could sleep in the cot in the bedroom and we wouldn't disturb here like we would in a hotel in one room. Staff were lovely and friendly and the site was clean. Hot tub was great to chill in the sunshine. Lovely walks around Dovestone Reservoir just a stones throw away. Have already recommended to family and would absolutely recommend again particularly for young families who like lots of countryside walks and exploring the local area.”

“Fantastic family atmosphere as always. Sunday lunch is undoubtedly the best around. Summer time you have the beer garden with play area for the children and fabulous views. Winter time you have the cosy log fire and exceptional red wine.”
