“As a family tradition we go out for breakfast on the morning of a holiday. We tried this cafe as the reviews were very positive and my wife had heard about it through a work colleague. The staff were very welcoming. There were a few regulars in who made the place seem very community focussed, more friends than customers. The food was really good freshly prepped after we ordered. When I mentioned where we going on holiday the lady who served us explained she was from that same area originally and advised us of things to look out for. Can't fault it. We will visit again definitely.”

“We had our son's 11th birthday party here recently, and it was a great experience - it's such good value, especially the bowling time, the arcade games and the food is lovely. Aleina in particular was a wonderful host who took really good care of us all. This is the third year in a row we've had birthday parties at the Light, and it never disappoints!”

“Brilliant theatre. The oldest little theatre in the UK. Excellent regular variety of shows very well acted. Good bar area. The seating is comfortable and tiered so that all seats give a good view. Parking available next door with a lovely helpful chap who deserves a mention. Some notable present and past honorary members such as Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Sybil Thorndike and locally born Dame Wendy Hillier.”

The food and service were excellent; the paneer cocktail was something I had never had before, the naans were incredibly fluffy, and the cobra was delicious. The total cost came to about £28 per person. I'm happy to confirm that Marple Spice remains fantastic. The staff was so kind and we will definitely be returning.”

I walked in was greeted with a smile and the young man called Mohammed behind the counter took seconds to identify which door handle I needed form a drawing! “I have not been to this pub for fourteen years, but on Saturday 26th I went with work colleagues for a curry for my retirement and ended up in The Wheatsheaf. The Staff were brilliant young and vibrant, it was karaoke and everyone felt at ease the locals were very friendly. It was a good atmosphere and all had a great time.”

“Absolutely love the food here proper home cooked hearty food which is actually quite hard to find these days. We come quite often to have lunch and I normally opt for one of their amazing pies and my other half loves their Lasagna. Staff are very friendly and welcoming aswell would definitely recommend to others”

“Fantastic food, this is my new go to place for Chinese food. The lunch time specials are great too, I highly recommend the Super Charger Chicken burger. the share box is amazing, it fed us as a family of 4 no problems. You won't be disappointed believe me. :-)”

“Thank you coop Wellington Road south, sk1 for helping my son this evening, at 13yrs old being stranded is very scary, his new phone had suddenly lost battery, his card wasn't being accepted on the bus and he needed to phone home for help. several shops in your area had turned him away, at night in tears and just 13 asking for help. coop helped without hesitation and welcomed him to wait in the store for his mum. Thank you so very much for showing compassion, I apologise for not knowing the details of the staff involved but they are a credit to your company.”

“Absolutely fantastic service. We called to Stockport overnight and had an issue with our vehicle which AW Autos went out of their way to get us back in the road to travel safely back to Swansea. Can’t recommend this garage enough, not only did they help us out on the same day, they were very reasonable with the price. It’s a shame he’s not local to us (Swansea) or he’s become our regular garage. Very Highly Recommended.”
