“Stumbled across this place quite late in the evening looking for somewhere to have dinner. They squeezed us in and the ambience of the restaurant was just lovely. The service by all waitresses and the owner was spot on. The food was perfect! You could tell a lot of pride has gone into this little place. “Greta place to dine and great atmosphere The restaurant is on the first floor and overlooks the harbour and quay. Some quirky architecture makes this place fun and spacious, large glass windows give good views of the yachts docked in the harbour. Food was lovely, served quite quickly and of good portions. Had burgers, carbonara (with chicken) and Milanese chicken. All really tasty meals. Good selection of desserts too. Service was good and staff were attentive. Would recommend a visit and eat here. Has its own parking so no need to pay parking elsewhere. Though one part of the car park says 3 hours and the other says permit only. The one car park has both and you can stay for up to 3 hours for free when dining at the restaurant”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolute gem – the best place we’ve eaten in Exeter! From start to finish, our experience at Stage Exeter was exceptional. The service was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. The whole place has such a warm, homely feel, and even though we were sat outside in October, it was perfectly cosy under the outdoor heater. The food was out of this world — creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavour and made with real care and imagination. It’s clear that quality and detail are at the heart of everything they do. They also catered brilliantly for my nut allergy, which gave me complete peace of mind — a huge thank you for that. For the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, it’s amazing value for money. Without a doubt, Stage Exeter is the best place we’ve eaten in the city. If you haven’t tried it yet, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. We can’t wait to go back and bring more friends with us. Thanks for a wonderful evening!”

“I visited the Lemon Tree in Elburton today. I must say the customer service is one of the best I have had, from the moment I walked in the door I was made to feel welcome. The café was lovely and clean, the decor makes you feel like you are in a sunny climate, even on a cloudy day. The owners have put so much thought into everything, even the nice music playing. The food was lovely. The menu is not too big but everything you want is there and cooked so well.i had the Lemon Tree eggs and Toast, it is so nice to find a café that can cook bacon and eggs properly and with the added touch of avocado and chilli flake just topped it off perfectly. The presentation was so nice. I cannot wait to come again and try more dishes. I also look forward to coming one evening to try the evening menu. This café has always been a credit to the village, and I think under the new owners they are continuing that.”

“Cycled here from Exeter on a bright sunny day. It was an hour’s ride on mostly flat path. Enjoyed a scone and some coffee. Lovely views and location. Plenty of inside, under the roof and open seating to enjoy the food and drinks. We were there before noon and the lunch starts at noon so could only have the items off breakfast menu. Would definitely recommend and will definitely cycle back there again.”
