“What a pub… Whenever we go in, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Since the refurb it’s so welcoming and inviting with a great selection of beers on tap (that always helps) The food is great fresh pub food, roasts are cracking and priced at just £15, can’t complain! Dessi and the whole Wheatsheaf Team are a credit to the local community. We’re so lucky to have such a great pub at the end of our roads!”

“Store can be a little messy and cluttered but you find the best deals. Sushi box for £1.99 is amazing and the antipasti is also another great find. The meats are British and cheap and great quality”

“Best pizza that I have had in a long, long time. I had a Hot Bite which had great flavour as well as the heat and their special garlic bread with cheese is out of this world. They also had a gluten free option which kept my wife happy and seemed to have plenty of meal deal options. Cheers guys. Will definitely be back”

Breakfast was a real highlight—flavorful and satisfying, with top-notch service. However, the restaurant food was a letdown. While the staff remained friendly and attentive, the meals were tasteless and overpriced. This is definitely an area that could use some improvement. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would recommend the hotel for its atmosphere, history, and hospitality. Just hope they upgrade the food at the restaurant soon!”

“We are locals and potters had always seemed a bit dated . But now it has been refurbished completely different! Nice interior and the steak is fantastic cooked exactly how we wanted. Lovely deserts as well, recommend the poached pears. Not too busy which is nice and good friendly service. Recommend.”
