“Personal favourite! Always a delight to visit any of their branches. Reasonably priced coffees and plenty of seasonal deals and loyalty bonuses if you sign up to their mailing list. Food is excellent everytime I've been and the staff are super helpful and friendly no matter how busy it is! Seating areas are really cool (especially the booths at fit Fitzalan Square) and there's board games to play! No better place for a coffee in Sheffield! Looking forward to trying their new Leeds branch, but I know it will be fantastic!”

“Visited today and the loveliest person took my order and chatted whilst it was being made. We talked about where we had both been to university and courses and they genuinely seemed interested. It was lovely and made such a difference from just taking the order and leaving. I will absolutely be coming back because of just how nice the c had been. “This is my "go to" Costa. The staff here are fantastic. Everyone is so friendly here and welcoming. This branch doesn't run out of certain food items as much as others do. The coffee also seems to taste nicer here than other Costa branches nearby”

“Ian is absolutely brilliant! My laptop suddenly ran into a "blue screen of death issue" and after spending 3 hours trying to fix it myself I knew I couldn't. I did a Google quick search and found Ian. I texted him and he responded really promptly. He kindly collected my laptop on his way home from work and asked me what was going on. I explained my problem and told him that I was desperate for the repair ASAP as I am self employed and need my laptop for work. Ian took it away and 4.5hrs later it was fixed, and once again he kindly dropped it off for me at home. Ian went absolutely above and beyond. My laptop is fixed and running brilliantly and the cost was very very reasonable. I'm glad that I've found Ian I have absolutely no hesitating in recommending him.”

“I tend to visit the store quite regularly and would suggest the store itself is in a good location in town but fairly unremarkable in its set up, following the same kind of layout and style you'd see in any of their stores. Average prices and availability generally good but obviously less reliable on release dates or around christmas. However the staff at this branch are really good. I'm not sure if I've ever talked to the same person twice there but they've always been very friendly, knowledgeable, willing to share their opinions with me on games to try and just generally chatty and friendly when at check out. Even when I've been in at Christmas when its nuts they've still been very friendly and asked if I've needed help. To summarise, the branch is just like any other in terms of pricing, availability and layout which makes it unremarkable- worth about 3.5 stars. The staff are what makes this branch stand out and justifies a 5 star rating. Good work.”

“Busy and delicious local cafe with scrummy bakes filling the window and always delicious brunch dishes on the chalkboard menus. Only let down is that the best sounding dishes sometimes run out before you get to try them! Great coffee, super friendly service. Be prepared for a wait for a table at lunchtime, especially on the weekend, but definitely worth it! Been here a few times now and it's consistently good!”

“A hidden treasure in Sheffield with the absolute best coffee in town! The beans were freshly roasted on premise by Frazer and you could smell and taste his profound coffee passion in the brew. BTW he has won multiple awards too. Frazer was very generous in sharing his coffee insights, travel and stories with us. He even took us for a tour of his workshop as he was taking a break - what a generous kind hearted man! We saw his home made roaster machine, a contraption designed and made out of passion.. just what an artisan craftsman does best. I took home a bag of his freshly roasted decaf beans straight out of the workshop. Thank you Frazer!”

“I live about a mile from Roots,and drive and walk by regularly. But I never noticed it. Now, I call in quite regular for a cappuccino which is to die for. It is so creamy and tasty. It beats C@%&A and the like any day. I have never tried the food, but what I have seen looks very tasty. The staff are very polite and friendly. The premises is quite large, and there is a decent size room for private functions. The single use toilet is always very clean. There is parking to the front. All in all a great place for a meet up with friends for a catch up and a coffee and a snack. Opening times. Sunday closed. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Saturday 9am to 2pm Closed Bank Holidays. Except school holidays. 9am to 2pm.”

“This is by far the best independent deli in Sheffield. The stock is wonderfully and thoughtfully thought out. I had a ciabatta sandwich and just asked the gentleman behind their kiosk to put in what he thought would work and boy did it! Also the espresso was perfect. It’s obviously run by someone who is passionate about Italy and it shows in the products and the passion which they are enthusiastically served. Sheffield is lucky to have La Coppola.”

I thought I had been to the entire variety of cafés that Sheffield has to offer, but you could have knocked me down with a feather when I walked in. Jazz funk music playing, Dahl Of The Day on the menu and a range of herbal teas to out-do Holland & Barrett. The place has a wood-burner, punching out a warm welcome and the quirkiest of seating, with memorabilia in every corner. We sampled the coffee, lemon and ginger tea, homemade cake... one guten-free and we loved it... We'll be back!”
