“I’ve recently joined and so far the staff have been incredibly helpful and friendly. I was struggling to find somewhere to take my children swimming on my own (with 2 non swimmers) and the family swim session on a Sunday is wonderful! I’ve also engaged in yoga and swimming classes and they have been brilliant. Highly reccomend”

“I attended Baby Sensory Doncaster with my twin girls from 5 months until they were 13 months. I was sceptical about juggling the two of them and getting them to engage in the activities, but Alison was incredible. The energy and enthusiasm Alison puts in to everything is amazing. By our last session the girls were signing along to the songs, and the smiles and giggles when they hear the songs at home now shows how much they loved and valued the sessions. It has been my favourite and most bonding group I have done with the twins. Alison is so warm, friendly and approachable, she would often help and take one of the girls for an activity if it wasn't physically possible for me to do so on my own. I cannot recommend Alison or the baby sensory sessions enough.”

“My 17 year old daughter had an ankle injury from football- she saw Mikey for several sessions. He was fantastic, knowledgable and clear about her treatment and rehab. He made her feel comfortable throughout her time there and with his help she is fit to restart her training and playing. I have always had great treatment at Sharps , and Mikey is an excellent and highly recommended addition to the team.”

“It is hard to find a Pilates practitioner here in Doncaster who extols such an intelligent, dynamic form of Pilates but Celine Blizard does it all. Her groups are kept small to ensure individual attention and all her practice is rooted in profound physiological knowledge. The classes are very reasonably priced especially when you bear in mind that you also get a weekly online option and a recording as part of the deal. The classes allow you to work at your own level, providing challenge and help you develop at your own pace. Celine is really approachable, knowledgeable and professional; she provides a really positive, empowering experience.”

“Moved here from Everlast the week it reopened following the refurb. After a few years at Everlast we were fed up with the entitlement of the Hyrox crowd, the amount of filming going on and the amount of people training in large groups working their thumbs more than anything else tying up equipment for long periods. So far loving it, it reminds me of a mid 80`s gym, the staff are visible, friendly and willing to help without being too muck, following the refurb all the kits fantastic, there are young lads but they they are their to train and not pose and just get on with it. The music and atomosphere is lovely and calm (I`m sure being a strongman/powerlifter I should want angry metal but much prefer this) In more terms of the equipment, the trap bar is bang on the loading pins are nice and long in comparison to the one at Balby that are that short its unusable. There are only 2 racks but you dont often have to wait for one, they are a bit close together its all but impossible to load/unload at the same time as the other rack or when they are lifting. The Olympic bars are strong enough but not the best with no whip/bend deadliftings not nice on these and will probably end up bent over time but no one seems to do heavy shrugs and drop them on the rack.”

“I went for my Gym activation today. I was welcomed very nicely by the receptionist Katie Jack who helped me complete my direct debit details. Nothing was too much trouble for her she was very efficient and so helpful. My gym helper was Dave Cantley and he was brilliant. Being disabled I struggle to do things but he took the time to show me how each piece of equipment works, what muscles that it’s working. He took time to show me how to adjust each machine to fit my needs, he found ways in which the equipment could be altered to work with my disabilities. I would most certainly recommend this gym. The equipment is new, clean and tidy. The dressing room are clean and tidy. Their is also a disabled lift, which the receptionist will activate for you. There is a coffee shop in reception for tea/coffee snacks to go. Plenty of parking and disabled parking available. Thank you so much Armthorpe leisure centre for your support and welcome today.”
