“Best takeaway we've had from anywhere. Polite staff answering the phones and repeated my order back to me with the price and a time scale for delivery. Food was lovely and nice and hot, couldn't fault it at all. Best special garlic bread in the village too. Would definitely order again.”

“Took my car in for an Mot they managed to fit me in on the same day as I rang them. The staff were very helpful. I had an issue with my vehicle and they sorted it out. I would recommend this garage to my friends.”

“Moved to Maltby recently and this is the first fish and chips tried. I have family members visiting who are gluten free so picked this one. Lovely fish and chips all round, and lovely service too, friendly, welcoming, speedy, price competitive. Even though I personally don't have dietary needs, I'll order from here going forward in preference to others without the GF options because I appreciate the effort taken.”

“Fantastic local family pub. Service and food is always great. However the real stand out feature of the place is the atmosphere generated by the managers Lee and Joanne. They have a super team of staff who are always bright, cheerful and helpful. We have used the pub for a formal family function and just to pop in for a drink and have never been disappointed. My dad is currently suffering with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and is wheelchair bound. Lee and Joanne always make us feel welcome and make a real fuss of my dad. Other than his bungalow the Hay Nook is his favourite place to be.”

“An amazing place. The customers were all very friendly and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The coffee is first rate, my toasted tea cake was excellent and they had some lovely gluten free fruit loaf. The decor alone is worth a visit and the prices are cheap compared to the well know chain coffee shops.”

“Love this place, ladies are always accommodating. I’m very impulsive and walk in and they always manage to squeeze me in for a wash and blow, or a wash and plait. Even if they are busy! Always offered a brew, or a drink from local shop. I can walk in foxy cuts feeling low in mood and walk out laughing and smiling! Not just a great place for hair, but a place for mood lifting! Bonus point from me is that they let my support dog in. Lady’s cut all my family of 4. Would recommend!!”

“Not bad pizza quite a lot of topping on it . Ignore the low stars on this place it’s by far better than the other pizza places in Rotherham . Well by delivery , the food is more like restaurant standards not like the other pizzas you get everywhere else . Which is a plus as you don’t have to order from dominos for a good pizza in Maltby . The salad was good too , not scabby compared to most places . The only bad thing I’d say is the chips you can taste like they’ve been in the freezer , maybe just add some seasoning to them before you cook them . Anyways I’d say pretty good for a new takeaway .”

“Attended a a familys anniversary here yesterday. Was really surprised how friendly and welcoming all staff were. Was a little disappointed that kids had to leave at 7.30pm as we were having a great time.DJ sue was fab really great with kids couldn't do enough for you. Definitely be back.”
