“Visited the Windmill Cafe & Bistro and found a part of Portugal in Newcastle Under Lyme. The traditional cuisine is delicious. Lots of choice from gorgeous fish and meat dishes to a variety of just wonderful tapas bites, soup and loaves of freshly cooked traditional breads. Lovely atmosphere for relaxed eating. Owners genuine foodies and friendly.”

“Brilliant staff, very efficient and quick, ladies worked well as a team. Lady thanked me for waiting for my food despite me only waiting a few mins. Give these women a raise they do such a good job and work incredibly hard. Food and portion size was decent. Food was piping hot. Only request is please offer mayo ☺️”

“Wow what a lovely hidden gem took me right back to my grandma house food and drinks lovely and great service”
“Cappuccino lovers come-hither! I can't believe this cafe was right down the street from me and I only recently discovered them. The milkiest/frothiest cappuccino in the land, the coffee does not disappoint and neither does the food. Both their cakes and Full English have been amazing, with sweeter cake/brownie options changing every time I've gone for great variation. I would highly recommend giving them a try. Free parking, card accepted but cash preferred!”
“I visited the Arndale Heritage Centre today with my son and it honestly warmed my heart. Barrie and team have built this place from scratch and filled it with so many fascinating things from fossils to old mining history. But what made it really special was Barrie himself. He took so much time with my little boy, explaining each fossil and piece of mining equipment with such care and enthusiasm. Watching my sons eyes light up as he listened was a moment I’ll always remember — and it meant a lot to me too. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely passionate, kind and generous with their time. People like Barrie are what makes the world go round, and the centre is a true reflection of the love and effort he’s put into it. We feel honoured to have met him today, and we’ll definitely be back.”
“Great cafe, good coffee, friendly staff and good service. A proper little Mediterranean type café in the middle of town.”
“Attended Capello’s for a meal out with a large group of work colleagues. The staff were really friendly and helpful and got all our food out quickly and correctly. All the meals were lovely and everyone really enjoyed the meal. There was great options for the gluten free and vegetarian members of the group. The atmosphere is lovely! Will definitely be returning.”
“Had a lovely full breakfast from here and not being a local I had to ask if oatcakes were what was made around here to which I was met with Sally and Sue. Not only did they make a fantastic breakfast but also made me a nice oatcake which I thoroughly enjoyed. Well done girls. Keep doing what you're doing. Thank you”
“Visited for a coffee and toast whilst in town - such a lovely coffee shop with a relaxed atmosphere and the coffee quality is amazing.”
“Eggettes is such a gem in Keele! The bubble tea tastes amazing—easily some of the best I’ve had. The shop is cozy and full of adorable decorations, making it perfect for taking photos while you enjoy your drink. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends or just relax. The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Jesslyn Yeom, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. Plus, everything is really affordable. Highly recommend checking it out!”
“Amazing little tea room. Cakes and sandwiches were lovely. The scones were out of this world. Keep you topped up with tea all the time. Nothing to much trouble, staff are friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.”

“Very nice and polite people charming ambience yummy coffee”
“I regularly visit here mainly the drive through. This costa is cosy, the staff are always so nice. Ive been inside a few times. And its so nice it feels relaxing. Only draw back was I have been on 2 evenings around 7.30 - 7.45 as it says its open till 9? And bit nights I went it was shut. There were other customers that arrived and also drove off. So want to remove a star for that but the staff are so nice. The hours needed amending. Had to take a few stars off recent visits have been dissapointing. The latte that I love the maple and peach one, they have got wrong more than a few times. **OPENING HOURS NEED UPDATING** They are never open in the evening until 9,. Your lucky if its 7.30.”
“Just called in for a coffee and cake. Friendly and cake was great. Will be back for lunch next time we visit the garden centre. Happy to have found this cafe on the outskirts of Newcastle”
