“Went on a Saturday for the lunch, it was quiet at the time, only 3 of us were the customers . We ordered masala dosa, kizhi parotta beef , fish thali and two mango lassi. The place is clean and had a good vibe with music. Food came out within 25 minutes and food was amazing. Portion size is very generous. I think it’s value for the money. Only thing I noted customer service is not up to the standard might need some training on it. Highly recommended if you’re are in to South Indian food.”

“The food was excellent - some of the best Chinese food I've had recently. I particularly liked the kai sung (it reminded me of the san choy bow you find in Chinese restaurants in Australia). The sizzling beef was served on a sizzling hot platter with a tasty pepper sauce. The wonton soup had luscious and juicy prawn wontons with a generous serve of wontons. We decided to go a la carte, but the range of set menus is impressive and well priced too. It was lovely to see the restaurant team welcoming people and checking in with people at key stages of the meal. It had a really nice family feel and vibe! Luckily we booked our table the night before dining as the restaurant filled up very quickly after we arrived. We were visiting family in the area, so we don't live close by - but we've said we would gladly return on future visits. It is great to support local business and not just dine in the same restaurant chains.”

“Food was not 5 star, though for me and my family it was exactly what the doctor ordered: generous portions, good tasting fare and, ....the price was very reasonable. Most of all, the chef and his daughter were so friendly, that we had a good natter with them were he explained some of the acts and singers performing there at times. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Btw, a bottle of wine was included within the total price of £48.- feeding 4 of us! Thank You, Chef”

“Have been going to Peony for years! I honestly can say my family and I will always be very grateful to have such authentic restaurant at our door step. yes it has been taken over by new owner and food is somewhat a little different but it is still delicious and better than a lot of restaurants in Hong Kong. I also noticed they have replaced table cloths and chopsticks the place is a lot cleaner! Owner is friendly and evidently put a lot of effort in her work place. I am grateful for Peony and I am glad I don't have to travel an hour to have delicious dim sum! Keep up with the good work! Recent visit: the crab meat dumpling (red one in the pic) omg! Must try!”

“We had a lovely time visiting for lunch. The staff were incredibly friendly and took a genuine interest in our experience. Our server was very attentive even though it was quite busy. The food, although took a while, was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We felt very relaxed and not rushed at all. Would definitely recommend.”

“A long standing favourite of ours. It's been there forever and there is a reason why. Good food, good value and great folk. The specials are often my choice, with chetinad or king prawn garlic being my favourites. Prices are as low as could be expected and there are no frills or extravengance. Since lockdown they have done delivery as well and went out of their way to look after us. Spent a Christmas lunch there a few years back which was also fabulous value and made a real change.”

“Tried Caprinos for the first time ever and i was blown away by the quality of the pizza. So many option to choose from i felt a bit spoiled . The pizza was amazing great crust, steaming hot on arrival , by far one of the best pizza's i have had in a long time. The sides were also amazing. No restrictions, other places I've been you've got to have the same cocktail as each other and can't have another one until you've both finished. The food is also amazing! At Darwin & Bear seems a lot more relaxed, good music, good atmosphere.”

“A non-pretentious hotel in the middle of the city near the main road above Lidl supermarket. Very modern things are new and clean elevators function well. Last staircase nothing to complain evening meal were in expensive and large portion size. I thought the Punjabi chicken and rice and Na that was very nice and spicy my husband two English beef in a pie, which was very nice as well. All in all, we were happy with our day although the weather was not ideal.”
