Went today 2/1/26 - had no bags and expected us to use plastic flimsy bags worse than a dog poo bag. Asked to buy a bag for life and got told they were 12.50. Left my basket full of shopping and walked out. Deplorable
Good parking and great quality food. Long drive for me but we'll worth it! The waitrose eggs are the best I've had in a very long time, and I've only ever bought free range organic in the past.
Nice place to shop. Great quality foods. Unfortunately on my passed three visits they where out of stock of the item I need, just a empty space on the shelf..
Felt like the shelves were half stocked, first thing on a Sunday morning. Had to go to a different supermarket to finish my shop. Also the kitchen was closed. Not a great first impression! Staff were super pleasant.
The staff are mostly so good, helpful and kind. I really do prefer Waitrose in all ways. It is more expensive than other supermarkets, although not impossible to find some very reasonably priced food and products. I’m so glad we have a Waitrose in Chester. All in all, great store, love the cafe, love the staff in general.
Really enjoy my trips to Waitrose. So many products simply not available in other supermarkets and often same price or cheaper which has really surprised me. Superb quality products too. Daughter rates Sushi bar as best in area. Staff polite, helpful, all in all a pleasure not a chore.
A big thank you to the very nice chap on the sushi counter who took time to come and talk to me. He then went away & made up the spicy prawn sushi I was looking for, but was not out on the counter! Thank you, and your sushi is amazing :)
First time visit to a Waitrose store, intended to buy a vegan Christmas log, but unfortunately there none left, but a very professional male member of staff explained how these items are stocked, 5 stars because shop was bright, clean, well stocked (minus the item I needed!) and staff were very professional and customer focused
Waitrose is not my supermarket of choice as I find it too expensive but it was within a few meters of my mooring. It had all the products I wanted but I decided to leave many until I reached a better price supermarket. The checkout lady was especially nice and advised me where to go in Chester. It is directly opposite this huge chimney in the photo. .
