Absolutely fabulous, one of our favourite restaurants; food is always amazing and the staff are always so polite and helpful. I took my sister for her first time last week and she enjoyed it as much as I did so that's another customer gained. Always a nice experience thankyou The Fox, keep up the good work! Xx

Lovely meal early evening. Staff superb and meal lovely. I had the lamb shank....lovely and a friend had steak. Others had the carvery. Three courses for Β£12.00. Carvery lovely although roast potatoes a little hard...just needs a little more cooking. Will definitely go again.

£18.95 two courses carvery and pud. Lovely delicious home cooked food, great selection of vegetables with turkey, beef, gammon pork and a veggie option. Then choice of stily toffee pudding, strawberry waffles, crème brulé or ice cream. Friendly staff, just a bit of a wait for drinks and table to be clear for dessert orders.. all in all a great Sunday lunch. We'll be back again soon

Wonderful Carvery, visited Sunday we did have an early booking for 12.30pm for 6 people. Booked online confirmation received and a reminder on the morning. Entrance is at the rear. Warm welcome and shown to our table. Ordered drinks and Carvery at the bar. 5 meats available including lamb (which is rare at a Carvery) Good selection of veg, pick your own yorkies (had 2 rude not too) Topped of by a Wonderfully rich gravy. Food was of a very high standard. Pudding was included in the price, a good wide selection, opted for Biscoff topped cheesecake with honeycomb ice. Just the right size and tasted amazing. All in all a great meal highly recommended and will be visiting again.

Booked our Christmas day lunch here and arrived to find the car park full hopefully a good sign. On arrival we found no easy access for a wheelchair a member of the public kindly advised us to go around the side of the building. We did and once again no easy way in the member of the public helped us in not easy for a man with no legs. The lady did advice staff of our problem but no one came to help. When making the booking I did advice the staff about the wheelchair and again when 2 or 3 weeks before the big day we were asked to pay in full. We were offered a glass of fizz by a glum looking lady that appeared to be attending a wake rather then a Christmas day meal. No joy in her manners this felt wrong and cold to me. Our fizz arrived with little fizz in it a little like the staff and was clearly poured early as it was warm and fizzles. My starter arrived I had pate again clearly prepared earlier but not properly kept . Dry bread not toasted and no butter. My friend had camembert that looked good. Our main meal was excellent lovely turkey and vegetables were good. I had the opportunity to have a word with the owner at this point and the was certainly an improvement in the staff attitude. Should of been a great day sadly ruined .

We booked a table for 2 at 6pm and were very surprised how much choice we had on the menu. We had to go for the 3 course meal (Β£12) we had soup of the day (Broccoli& Stilton ) with a carvery as the main and waffle and icecream for dessert. The whole meal from start to finish was really tasty and we couldn't fault it in portion sizes whatsoever. There's ample parking around the back where the main entrance is by the way and it's really pleasant inside with friendly helpful staff . I'd highly recommend a visit and will be going back as soon as we can as it's just a great place, one thing I'd say is make sure you book as it can get busy.

Had a lovely fathers day meal here on Sunday. We were placed in a little area at the back which was again perfect. The carvery was beautiful we had pork, gammon, beef and turkey. It was fab being able to help yourself to as many Yorkshire puddings as my little one loves them. The potatoes were cooked perfectly too I just wish there was mash. I love my carrots soft and they were great here. Gravy was nice and rich plus hot. Our 3 children had chicken nuggets and chips. The chips were thick and not cooked inside enough, still had a slight bite. Fries may have been nicer and easier to cook. Nuggets were fresh and nice. Pudding was a bit over priced for the Eton mess found there wasn't much there. I had choc chip cheesecake see picture. Lovely day and they had loads of staff on too. We wil be back xx

There food was great and all but there was a member of staff that was a bit weird kept rushing us was trying to have a drink and was gonna or after we'd had a couple drinks but 30 seconds later she would come back trying to get us to order again and they have seating right next to the carvery so you have people stood right next to you as your trying to and it is so warm because of the heaters on the food
