   Had lunch yesterday with my elderly mother. Staff were excellent, very attentive. Food was awesome, well cooked, hot and generous portions. Would definitely recommend this place and will certainly be going again.

   Quiet today which was appreciated. Food and the Early Bird menu is good value. I'm fussy with my fish I like cod to be white and in slices when you cut in to it. I'm not keen on strong tasting fish as was the case today. The conservatory is a nice place to sit in a rainy day and our dog was welcomed.

   Great food & Great vibes. Came for lunch today and we had such a nice time. The food was wonderful good price and portions. Pub felt cosy and had loads of natural light which was lovely. Staff were friendly. Even went in the garden for a game of table tennis which was fun! Will definitely be coming back, got our eye on the dessert menu:) (Mixed grill & loaded chicken stack)

   Really disappointed with this place. From the outside it looks a nice place. We went for lunch and soon as we walked into the dining area the first thought that came to mind was a canteen. The decor is totally wrong and basic looking.Down to the food. I ordered Lamb Shank and was told they had ran out of it( good start). I had the homemade pie which to be fair was good. Creamy Mash and selection of side veg was supposed to accompany it. What came was Mash out the packet and peas. Mash was like a solid lump. The man behind bar and who served us the food was very good though. It's a shame because this pub has the potential to be as good as the pub down the road (The Dog) if it had a makeover. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be returning.

   Food was tasty, exceptionally hot and speedy service. Our visit was early evening so only a few tables occupied so this may change at peak times. The atmosphere was relaxed, music was a good volume neither intrusive no too quiet. Recommended.

   Disappointing visit yesterday. Have been several times before and always loved it. However, fish was poor and undercooked with excessively hard thick batter, portions were small more like lighter bite meals and very overpriced. £14 for a burger which was nothing special and almost £6 for a small slice of cheesecake. Over £9 for 3 cokes. The offer of 2 meals for £12 is very misleading, even if you order before 3 you only qualify if you ordered off the early bird menu, but they don't tell you that ! 3 mains,3 drinks and 2 desserts cost over £52, Disappointing for such poor small meals. Unsure if will ever visit again.
