The Wolseley is one of those rare restaurants that feels timeless the moment you walk through the door. Set on Piccadilly, its grand Art Deco interior immediately creates a sense of occasion—high ceilings, gleaming black-and-white floors, and a gentle hum of conversation that makes it feel both elegant and welcoming. The menu leans toward classic European café cuisine, executed with confidence rather than flash. Dishes like the eggs Benedict, steak tartare, and Wiener schnitzel are dependable standouts, while the pastries and desserts—particularly the crêpes and seasonal tarts—are indulgent without being overdone. Ingredients are high quality, portions are generous, and there’s a reassuring consistency to the food that keeps regulars coming back. Service is a highlight. The staff are polished, attentive, and unflustered, striking a balance between formality and warmth that suits the setting perfectly. Whether you’re there for a leisurely breakfast, a business lunch, or a pre-theatre dinner, you’re made to feel looked after without being rushed. The Wolseley isn’t about culinary trends or experimental flair; it’s about refinement, comfort, and tradition done exceptionally well. It’s the kind of place you return to again and again—not because it surprises you, but because it never disappoints.

The Wolsey London – Afternoon Tea with Classic British Elegance Afternoon tea at The Wolsey London is a true highlight for anyone wanting to experience classic British tradition in a stylish setting. From the moment you step inside, the elegant interior and historic atmosphere set the perfect stage for a memorable afternoon. The tea selection is excellent and beautifully complemented by an array of delicate sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and a tempting assortment of sweet treats. The attentive service is especially worth mentioning – the staff make sure you feel welcome and enjoy every moment. The Wolsey manages to turn afternoon tea into a relaxed yet special experience – ideal for a break from everyday life or as a highlight during a trip to London. If you want to enjoy British tea culture at its finest, this is the place to be. I can highly recommend the afternoon tea at The Wolsey London – a delight for all senses in a truly unique atmosphere!

The staff are super sweet specially the reservation host and the waiters. I came walk-in and they managed to seat me at a nice table although I recommend reservation to avoid the waiting time. It is always full. Lovely place with the real English dining experience. A must to visit place.

Such a lovely experience! I ordered the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and it was extremely delicious with the sourdough. The black coffee was good but not perfect. The waiters are so nice and polite. I’ll definitely come again.

Exquisite tea experience with thoughtful service. The design and architecture of the building and interior was stunning. We were accepted early for our reservation, and were treated with great kindness from the staff. Our server even had a few surprises for us, which was extremely kind. The tea was delicious, as well as the tasty food. We quite enjoyed our time at the Wolseley.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. The whole experience oozes luxury, from the interior to the silverware. The food was great. I was happy you could pick what size order you wanted. This allowed us to try several different options. Service was good and proper. Location is very convenient. Would be a good place for a date if you want to impress.

Our experience was excellent! We went for afternoon tea and it was by far the best we've had. Extremely fresh, great selection of sandwiches and desserts. Above all, the customer service received by EVERYONE, was extraordinary, including the door greeter and the restroom attendant. The ambience of The Wolseley was superb. Though crowded, we felt as if we were the only couple dining there. I highly recommend the Wolseley but please make a reservation, they tend to sell out very quickly, and for good reason!

This place is one of the landmarks in London. It used to be a car dealership back in the days. Reservation is highly recommended, especially during dinner time. Dress accordingly. Lots of prominent people and celebrities go to eat here. Food is so incredibly delicious. A must visit if you're in London!!

Best scones and clotted cream I've had! Afternoon tea here is a very pleasant experience. Food is stellar, I loved the finger sandwiches and desserts. They had very nice herbal tea infusion options. I do recommend making a reservation, but they took my party as a walk-in, we had approximately an hour wait on the Friday afternoon that we went.
