   Been here many times, and what is make better experience is the helpful staff, today I been served by Rio , I came to pick up an order and unfortunately the people in the warehouse made a mistake by providing wrong size with different label, Rio provide me the refund and offer me the chance to purchase again if I want. The single thing that bring down the place is the cleaning, to much dust everywhere and the fitting room are not really in a good condition as some of the hangers are broken.

   Great experience in store yesterday the 2 young weekend staff males , were very polite helpful and managed to find my item in the stockroom with no hesitancy. Thankyou! A great asset to the store.

   Visited on 5th Oct Saturday at Gracechurch shop, three female shop assistants were standing by the till chatting and refusing to help us with online order return, one of them was saying they can only do return for items bought in store, they can’t do online orders return which I don’t understand since on river island website clearly stated online orders can be returned in store. While refusing us to return they were looking at each other half laughing just appeared so unprofessional！ Avoid at all cost, that shopping centre is very low traffic and half of the shops were shutdown. Even though we were the only customers in this shop but they were still unwilling to help and can’t wait to get back to their chitchat at work is just too ridiculous! UPDATE: I have reported my horrible experience to twitter (X) river island complains team, at first they replied they will do an internal investigation and two weeks I heard nothing from them but two weeks later they came to me deeply apologise the experience I had in Sutton store and said this should not be the level of customer service they want to deliver. They offered me a £30 gift card to shop as an apology and said will do further internal investigation. So please everyone if you ever experience any issues causing by those jobworth people don’t just let them make your life difficult. BTW I probably didn’t mention I’m Asian and not from this small town originally so it might also because of the staff serving me is racist!

   Just love this store. All the sales team are super friendly, helpful and kind. Makes me choose them over other outlets .. I’m older and they give great advice and never blank you as some staff in other companies do … A big shout for them . They’re great

   Don't normally shop in River Island, but on this occasion I had no other choice. My other half had bought an item of clothing from their Tamworth Store, only to get it home and find that they'd left the security tag on. So much for store security. Must be a shop lifters paradise. Anyway, couldn't fault the staff in the Sutton branch as they were extremely apologetic on behalf of River Island and duly removed the tag.
