A Delicious Family Feast at The New Bell: The New Bell pub has a real winner on their hands with their new "Special Family Grill!" I recently visited with Curry Club + 2… we tried it and we were thoroughly impressed. The grill offered a vibrant and flavorful mix of meats and appetizers, all cooked to perfection. What stood out most was the quality and taste of each item. The chicken tikka was tender and well-marinated, boasting a delightful balance of spice and smoky char. The chicken wings were juicy and packed a satisfying punch of flavour. The lamb chops were cooked just right, retaining their moisture and offering that characteristic rich lamb flavour. A surprise hit was the fish pakora, which was light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. And finally, the sheesh kebab was a savoury delight, with a lovely texture and aromatic spices. The inclusion of a plain naan was a welcome addition, providing the perfect vehicle to scoop up all the deliciousness. And the tikka masala sauce, served on the side, tied everything together beautifully, adding a creamy and flavorful element that complemented all the grilled items perfectly. First time here. Food was good. Large pub with lots of seating and is clean and well kept. Service was excellent and the Guinness was very good. Overall a great pub for food & drinks
Firstly, the value for money is certainly there. Really good prices for food, fantastic and warm service, and a lovely atmosphere. The food itself was very nice, I wouldn't say the mixed grill is in my top 3 (mainly because of the size of the regular grill) , but for price, you can't argue with it. I think trying the large grill next time would be best for a greedy man like me, as the price of that is absolutely fantastic as well. I'll definitely love to go again to try some more of the menu!
Ok went there tonight 02/03/23 bar staff great beer good ordered food guy struggled to understand a bit ordered 2 x mixed currys and breads asked for hot ! Currys came out bland and nog sure what happend but i had all the lamb and the other was all the chicken? Quite dissapointed with the food small amount expected better with the reviews
Great mix grill. Chilli chips are not to missed ! Loses a star for £10 minimum card order and the toilets need a revamp
Great food. Great atmosphere. Family orientated place and fantastic with friends too. Fairly priced. I would recommend booking as it gets busy. The large mixed grill was a hit with everyone that tried it. Currys we're all very tasty too. Would definitely revisit and would recommend too
Good bar service in fact outstanding well done , lack of customers service in regards to waiters checking on customer if the food was okay , the Kebabs taste was 9/10 they were not soft rather chewy, prawns curry 9/10 for taste both dishes got 8/10 for food presentation. Price wise value for money 7/10 well done guys good atmosphere
Polite and friendly staff, covid-19 restrictions followed in bar area, not present in wash rooms selective choice of beers and ales, we ordered micky mouse, which was flat, carling was OK, food was not what we expected, we ordered midium mixed grill, which in my option was small, the meat was boiled not grilled, which was very disappointing. The food was not spicy for us, but overall very disappointed. The place is conformitable with good atmosphere, external disabled car parking taken up by non disabled people parking which is very considerable by those who parked their and the management not taking action
