Great staff, brilliant atmosphere, The locals say just been taken over new landlady. Very good variety of drinks at great prices. Will be calling again when I’m in area. Did not have food so I’ve not given any stars.

Disgusting service from landlord and pub owner. Customer service by them is non-existent. Extremely rude and terrible atmosphere. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! We had been attending this pub for over a year, only to be spoken to like trash after being slightly loud after a few drinks once (as tends to happen after a few drinks) will not be returning, terrible attitude by the landlord and owner.

30/12/24. Village locals a pub with more coming from the surrounding areas. Old building but one large room with separate spaces. Muted sports TV & pool area. Normally serves 2 handpulled ales (Wainwright & Landlord) at keen prices. Child & dog friendly. No food but a hot kebab type van is in the limited car park 2 or 3 evenings a week. Wheelchair access is good but no disabled facilities.

Awful atmosphere at this public house. A depressing environment that feels like a local-exclusive place. Was met with hostility as soon as we walked through the door. I was at this pub with 4 of my friends (of which are all local) and after playing 8 games of pool the owner proceeded to cover the pool table with a wooden board as to dismiss us from the table. Participate in the pub quiz. Won. Was congratulated by the barmaid confiscated our prize due to reasons unknown (most likely our youthful easily-discriminating age). I’m led to believe this is due to the fact they we were not regulars: BORING.

Called in for a pint ( pint of landlord) but stayed for three . Lovely real fire , lovely lass behind the bar and nice company . I was allowed to vape without having to step out into the cold . Nice pub .

A shame really, it's nicely decorated and has an old pub kind of feel. But we visited as a group of 6 friends and ordered 3 rounds of drinks for 4 of us since two of the group are Muslim and dont drink. We where told we had to leave the pub since not all of us where buying drinks by a very aggressive female member of bar staff. Nobody was drunk or even tipsy or acting in any form of antisocial manner, we where just chatting in the corner, enjoying the music and minding our own business. I can understand the position of the pub if 6 people walked in and didn't buy a single drink between them but 4/6 spending around £40 you would think you would be allowed to sit and chat for an hour! So I would not recommend this pub!
