Lovely venue, attentive staff - pumps at the bar had a great selection I was very happy to see Poltergeist on tap! Food ordered. I want too sure so was shown the normal and lite bites. Great variety and option to suit all. Settled with the salmon; good size and beautifully cooked
We had a very pleasant meal here. Burger was delicious and chips very good too. Sausages were excellent, mash a bit over processed and veg had been sitting around a bit. Staff were friendly but service a bit slow.
Last minute room booking here turned into a standout night here. I was travelling south after a 10-day trip around Scotland, heading home, and found this place on booking.com Arrived late so missed dinner. Had a few pints, got chatting to a local and discovered we had a common connection. The land lord and barmaid were very friendly. A night I will long remember. The room was compact but clean and comfortable. Breakfast a simple affair but plentiful. Would recommend highly.
Cosy pub with friendly staff and nice ale. The food was excellent. The pies are delicious, with succulent meat and really good pastry. The hand cut chips are some of the best I've ever had. The fish and chips was also good. The staff are friendly. We had a lovely meal here.
First time eating at the Tavern. My partner and I had rump steak and chips , with a Stilton sauce to share. The food was excellent, steak cooked perfectly and the chips were chunky and well cooked. The young man who greeted us was very friendly and helpful, with the right amount of attentiveness. Great pub and excellent service, will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
We loved it. They were brilliant with my son, who has ASD and ADHD, it was quiet and they were patient with him. Decorated beautifully for Christmas when we came. We will be back!
Cute little pub. Visited on a Thursday evening. The interior was very cosy the menu has a range of good pub food and a couple good veggie options. Portions were really good, my side of chips was massive. Service was very friendly!
Beer was good.my scampi was perfect. Lasagne was a little dry.ladies toilets doors need looking at.all in all not bad.
