Daytime: Itβs the best pub in the village, Nighttime and Weekends: for some reason it attracts some absolute troglodytes and thereβs always trouble and police outside, but in the daytime itβs class, great food, cheaper booze, and darts and pool table too. Nice little outdoor area and also it shows sports. Could be the best if they sorted out the wronguns that attend when the nighttime begins!

Worth the 4 year wait! Had a roast beef dinner here 9/11/25 and it was amazing. Plentiful and tasty, staff as always were very attentive. Walked out of there feeling very full and content! Highly recommend if you fancy a traditional roast! Donβt leave it so long next time! ;-)

Many thanks to Holly, as always she is an amazing host alone with the team. Tested the new menu today. 2 of us had the triple roast and they were amazing! Really tasty and had a real home cooked feel. Plenty of sauces, gravy, roasties and yorkies! Couldnβt fault it at all, the meat was really tender. Parents had sausage & mash and scampi & chips, both were really impressed with their meals. FINALLY somewhere lovely, warm and welcoming to come and have a Sunday family roast dinner. Highly recommend

Came in for breakfast, it was very quiet, so need to come back for an evening to get a proper sense of the atmosphere. However the food was good, well priced and I couldn't fault the service.

I appreciate pubs that try to keep up with changing times and trends. So I was disappointed that at least two items on their menu, the avocado salad and the Buddha bowl, were unavailable on a Sunday afternoon - on Father's Day, no less. Undaunted, I tried their smoked chilli tofu, which was very good. The rest of the items were decent too. A special shout-out to their 'inferno' sauce, which, in all likelihood, came from a bottle in a supermarket, but packed some serious punch even for a spice-head like me.

Visited on Friday 24th for a retirement drink and have to agree with a previous post. Nice pub but the music was ludicrously loud for the size of the pub. I may be a bit older but it was Impossible for anyone of any age to hold a conversation. Whats the point! Its not a club, its a pub! Also, although the keg beer was ok, not even a single cask ale on. Really disappointing evening.

I would like to Thank Darren and his team Jamie, Brodie,Vergin,Courtney & Charlie for the Memorable afternoon we had for our Mothers wake. The Irish stew was delicious the buffet food was amazing. The staff worked so hard to accommodate our family and make them all feel so welcome. It was a day as a family we will never forget.

Terrible service at the bar on an a Saturday afternoon. Waited for 5 mins and waited my turn to be served and after another few mins I was ignored even though there was 3 people behind the bar. Finally I was the only person at the bar and was still ignored. I asked for a beer and was still ignored. Then a guy wandered over and got served straight away. Locals pub or They don't like metal guys to spend their hard earned cash.

AVOID .......DO NOT...come in here expecting a decent Sunday roast we waited over a hour in an empty pub for a boil in the bag load of rubbish I refused to eat it but my kids who were starving made do.....I would of been embarrassed to serve this rubbish.....even the waitress apologised for the food quality and said the headchef is back next week...!!!! was made to feel very uncomfortable after we complained and left......such a shame as this WAS our local....I asked for the managers name to address my points in the week but the staff refused to give it..?? *** UPDATE Hi Darren great to finally know you name, and no we didn't get a refund.? And yes it was frozen heated up rubbish as the staff confirmed this.....And I've tried to email you but your email isn't correct?
