Lovely place to have a coffee and cake staff very friendly eating here helps to fund a local charity to keep the Grand pavilion
Definitely worth a visit, for it's faded Gothic grandeur, especially if you're a rock muso, some memorable 60s and 70s bands played there. If you can get a tour, even better.
Went in on a lovely Sunday morning, ordered 3coffee’s , bacon sandwich and two x scrambled eggs on toast. Coffee was lovely, bacon sandwich, lovely. After 50 minutes we cancelled the scrambled . Not good
Had a great night at the 70,80 90,s disco on the 4th of July the only letdown was the bottled beer was warm and they didn’t have any Pernod, Not changed that much sine we used to go there back in the 80,s
Restoration Cafe at the Grand Pavilion. Great selection of drinks and cakes to choose from plus a little breakfast and lunch menu too. We went for a bacon, brie and cranberry panini and a med veg and pesto panini. Each came with a lovely little salad, crisps and coleslaw. Very tasty and filling. Chai latte was also spot on, whilst they offer a number of syrups for the coffee drinkers too. Very happy we popped in.
Absolutely delicious breakfast. Avocado and salmon were 10/10. Great atmosphere and dog friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

After a wet walk with the dog I found shelter here with most of the shops shut or not welcoming dogs. The cafe here was brill, warm and inviting. They let us hand our coats near the radiator and I ordered a latte and lovely bacon and bree toasty. The staff were kind and friendly and I would recommend coming here if you are passing through the area.
Its great to see this histroic venue hosting dances and bands again. Lovley informal atmophere about the place. Welcoming warm cafe and break out rooms hosting yoga and other classes, but dress warm for winter performaces in the huge main auditorium.
Had a great night watching the Hey Beatles tribute band!
