The staff, Chrissie and Karen were lovely. They couldn’t have been more kind, helpful and welcoming. They were definitely the best thing about my stay. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. The booking was very pocket friendly too.
Old but clean accommodation. Loved that it was next to a Toby carvery! Plenty of car parking spaces. Be aware that there is no lift to the rooms, only stairs. My biggest complaint - there is no air conditioning and although there was a fan in the room it was no use during a heatwave and we unfortunately got little sleep during our stay.
Not as quiet as we expected Didn't want anything in the city as we didn't want to be kept up by noise, so decided to stay outside the city but we was wrong, one room had dogs that seemed to bark every time someone walked past and owners didn't seem to try calm them in anyway, then the first night not sure of the time definitely between 12am and 2am was awoken by a car with an extremely loud exhaust a white VW golf who is clear compensating for something judging by the looks and sound of his car that he had to drive around the building twice and constantly rev his engine when parking, second night same car again not sure if another guest or a local using the car park or team member. Only interaction with reception was when we checked in and the lady was lovely. Felt like we wouldve had less noise in the city centre in the end, if you do decide to spend a night here hopefully Mr Golf man doesn't come around to flash his big car exhaust to make you aware of his tiny man exhaust
Had the most awful experience in this hotel, the room was dirty and smelly. Poor quality shower and dirty bath room, I spoke to receptionist and completely brushed me off as we were meant to have upgrade. Then to be told no other rooms available but on phone told pay the rest when your there.
I stayed at this Travelodge for 4 days and had a wonderful experience. The staff were absolutely amazing, especially Dawn and Oliver. I encountered a few issues during my stay, and they went above and beyond to be kind, understanding, and incredibly helpful. Their excellent customer service made my stay so much more enjoyable.
Came here to help my client get ready for an event. Lighting was not good however access to plugs and windows was fine
Have stayed here twice now and both times the rooms have been clean, the staff friendly and very welcoming. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again
The travelodge that time forgot. From the moment you drive into the carpark and see it being reclaimed by plants and trees you know you're in trouble. The decor and furniture clearly hasn't been changed for decades. The walls are paper thin and my room is next to the boiler house so every 20 minutes the wall next to the bed shakes. TV is the size of a postage stamp, bathroom is dirty. Last night I stopped in a Premier Inn and this room in like going back to the dark ages in comparison. Will not stop here again. Only positive, the receptionist was polite.
Room absolutely stinks of bleach so god knows what happened the night before, carpets are all stained and the walls have drink stains on them and they charged me 80 quid for the pleasure. Will never stay here again!! Nice soap in the shower though. Careful how you sit on the toilet as the seat is loose and slides from side to side....what a dump!!! No punn intended.
Friendly staff and I slept well. I also accidentally left my laptop charger in the room and I was impressed and much appreciated that it was found and returned to me the following day after I called. Many thanks.
