They did a good job of understanding my brother who was special needs. As for assessing the dog which had mass tumour growths nothing could of been done at all. RIP SNUGGLES

Stupidly one of our first times at the vets, went in feeling very guilty about it especially after our other cat passed suddenly 2 weeks ago. This was also mentioned during our appointment and the vet was extremely kind and caring towards us. Offered kind words at the end of the appointment too. Went in for healthcare plan and a cat cough from our other cat. Vet was very knowledgeable and explained everything. Very gentle and patient with our girl. Receptionists were extremely helpful, kind and spoke to us. Again, even about our other cat who had passed away. One even spoke to our daughter about our cat which for me was the extra mile. All signed up for healthcare plan, got everything we needed and the reassurance we hoped for too. Very highly recommend this place. Thankyou so much.

Very easy to book online and add new pet to account. Great care provided for our guinea pig. Follow up appointment offered with option to cancel if pet recovered without cancellation fee. At both visits the vet was clearly interested in the wellbeing of our pet, checking her overall health and asking questions about her environment. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Turned up at 8pm with my cat without giving any notice. Despite the unplanned arrival the receptionist was lovely and caring and arranged the vet to see us within 10 minutes. The vet was very reassuring and thorough with her advice. Excellent service and nice to know they are there in an emergency!

Can't say enough good about these guys!! Lovely, accommodating, and, especially nowadays, aware of people's financial limitations! And, of course, fantastic care for our pets!

My cat was unfortunately splashed with Dettol laundry cleaner when I dropped it and he was too close. He soon became very poorly and I rang the emergency vet for help. They have been so reassuring and so professional. He was really poorly and they have taken such good care of him. He's had a two day stay in the hospital and I get regular updates and all questions are answered. They have given me choice over his care and been reassuring all the way through. They are so easy to talk to and seem to really care about the whole cat, not just his medical condition. I can't thank the staff enough for their attention to detail, friendliness and expertise.

My dog Gracie needed an urgent appointment. They fitted her in within an hour. The reception ladies are so nice. Gracie loves going there and especially seeing auntie Claire who has the treat tin. She received excellent care. Her blood test results came back within the hour as they are tested in house and the lovely vet stayed on beyond her shift end to update me with results and treatment. I can honestly say everyone we have met there has been friendly, caring and professional

My dog became suddenly unwell yesterday. Her normal vet could not see her as they were near closing time & I had no idea how to get to their affiliated emergency vets. After ringing around, I managed to get an appointment at Ian McConnell's veterinary practice. Daisy had started to deteriorate by the time we arrived and she was examined in the most kind, gentle and caring way I've ever seen. By this point it was clear that this was very serious. I was offered a referral for an MRI scan but after a long discussion, ruling out curable conditions, my suspicions were confirmed that this was neurological and it was very likely she was suffering a stroke. At no time was I pressurised into consenting to expensive tests. The options were made clear to me but Daisy was deteriorating rapidly and in obvious pain, discomfort and confusion. I knew I needed to let her go and they gently sedated her, left her with me until I was ready to say goodbye and then put her to sleep. Again I was left for as long as I wanted to stay with her. A devastating experience but their kindness, compassion and reassurance I was doing the right thing helped enormously. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the vet and nurse who took care of us. I was in such a state of shock but please pass my thanks to them for helping us as such a difficult time.
