Really nice little place to stay. 2 adults 2 kids, our room had one large bed and 2 single beds. It was big enough for all of us. It had tea and coffee (enought for 2 ). Nice bathroom with over head shower. The only bad point was where the tv ws positioned . Not everyone could see it. Breakfast was good and plentiful. With a good selection.
Stayed 3 nights with a dog got offered a bigger room than was booked very clean lots of space bed very comfortable and brill shower . We payed for breakfast it was delicious lovely and hot staff were very welcoming would recommend
One of the most comfortable sleeps I had in my travels! The bed was comfortable, and the room was so cozy and warm on arrival. The breakfast was typical English breakfast with the sweet part like pastries. The staff was exceptional! Very friendly and approachable. I went there with my dog, and they enjoyed cuddle him and give him a sausage for breakfast! I highly recommend this hotel!
Convenient location, near major roads and the walk in to York city centre is fairly easy, often quicker than going by car. The rooms are clean and are such that they promote getting out and about, not lounging in the room all day. Food is good and the staff friendly and helpful. Recommended.
We stayed in a basic room just beds, no table or chairs. There was a tv and kettle. The room was clean and suited its purpose. The breakfast was great, very tasty and very worth the money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everywhere was very clean.

Good basic accomodation. Clean room, shared toilets and showers but they were really clean and the shower was excellent. Pleasant dining area and a real feel for being a jockey or rac horse owner!
Excellent place for the price. Was nearly put off, with it called hostel. Very glad I stayed there and will be my first choice when I stay in York in the future. Lovely wonderful staff, very helpful and professional. Excellent breakfast and very clean and tidy. Thank you for the very enjoyable stay
Great location and excellent room. The negative comment relates to the breakfast, they had a party of children staying who all went for breakfast at 8 so it was suggested I should wait until 9. When I arrived at 9 the "dining room" was busy and the food wasnt worth queuing for. Overall conclusion: good rooms, good location but poor value for money.
