   Stayed at Darwin Forest for 3 nights and decided to come out for Sunday lunch but didn't want to travel too far. Came across this place through Google maps and read the reviews, so glad we came. We didn't book just turned up at 12, and got a table straight away. The food was delicious, lovely home cooked food, good portion sizes and great service, would recommend.

   We Absolutely love everything about this place. The food is amazing the halluomi Bites omg we come most weekends just for these. The staff are very friendly and welcoming can't do enough for you. Its our favourite place we go to. Just cant say enough about it AAA*. Please go you want be disopointed its just Wow.Love love love.

   Wow, what a lovely sunday lunch we had here today. After doing some DIY on our kitchen we arrived without booking. The staff were lovely and friendly. We had a sunday roast dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely come back again.

   Unbelievably good food for the price, and huge portions. Service was friendly. Visited for a second time and again pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food (and the portion size). Fantastic value for money, for the price the quality of the food is a bargain.

   We had a fabulous evening at The Kelstedge. A very sweet quiet local pub. The bar lady was so lovely and really made our visit. It was just her and the one chef and together they provided a fantastic evening. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the lamb pie and the scampi. Great selection of desserts too. Highly recommend. Added bonus- dog friendly. They provided blankets, toys, treats and a 'pupcake' pudding for our puppy!

   Enjoyed the roast dinner sitting outside in the sunshine one late April Sunday. Great pint of Landlord, too. Themed nights including Caribbean. Nice pub with contemporary decor that has kept some traditional features inside, with the added outside area having been created to a great standard. Bikes zooming past along Chesterfield Road a bit annoying but the food distracted from that. Choice of beef, chicken or gammon, large freshly made yorkies, cauliflower cheese, a massive boat of gravy and accompanying veg. Good portion.. although it needed to be at £16! I would mention more about the high price of a Sunday lunch here, was it not for the fact that it was blooming delicious!! Grandma's Bread and butter pudding to finish (bloody lovely Grandma) and a couple of pints of Rutland ale. Great pub and well positioned for local walks before or after to Ashover and beyond. Great food, Good beer selection, well placed to explore the area and make a day of it.
