   I recently had one of the worst shopping experiences of my life at this Co-Op. As a disabled man, I was clearly struggling to reach items from the shelves, and not a single member of staff offered to help and just stared . When I got to the till, I was already flustered, but things only got worse — a young man who appeared to be the manager actually shouted at me to hurry up. By the time I left, I was a nervous wreck. The complete lack of empathy or basic human decency from the staff was shocking. I will never set foot in this store again, and I sincerely hope management takes a long, hard look at how they treat vulnerable customers.

   Yesterday, 28th Oct 2025 My wife tried to collect an Amazon parcel she had had delivered to the Co op Formby as we are away from home in our static caravan we have on a local site. Amazon said she did not need a code for collection in this case. They said proof of identity is all that is required. The manager, Neil, disagreed and refused point blank to release the package. The parcel contained special dog food for our unwell dog. She came upon the male manager who was, to put it politely, under trained in customer facing. He was rude and unhelpful. At the same time failing to assist another customer even older than myself,75. Who asked how she might work the cash machine in store. Rather than walking the 4 meters to assist , he barked instructions at her. NOT the type I wish to encounter when using this shop, so will travel the extra distance in future for our weekly shop when at the caravan. Update. Thanks to a team leader in store, Liana, My wife was able to collect the delivery after Customer Service phoned the branch. This young lady has obviously had the correct training and possesses the right people skills .

   Well stocked small Co-op store with a few parking places. Sells ice creams, newspapers, drinks, milk etc plus a whole range of supermarket essentials. Convenient, not necessarily cheap.

   Well, what can I say about the co op. It's seen me at my highs and my lows, always ready with the reassuring ambiance of expensive fruit and veg. You can take everything from me, the food in my mouth, the blood in my veins, the sand in my shoes, the clothes on my back, my wife, but I'll always have the co op- so I know, in the end, everything will be alright.

   Should be higher but so disappointed after most recent visit. Young staff most probably feel unable to enforce covid rules so should have more support from managers. Went in and whilst there FOUR teenagers entered the store with only one wearing any kind of covering. Nothing was done to ask them to comply. At a time when other stores are doing their bit to help, the so-called local community champions are letting us down.

   Convenient location, very limited parking (but the fact that they have any in such a small space is a wonder), and a surprisingly large range of products for such a small shop. The freshly baked bread and pastries are a real treat. Plus it's a Pokestop if you're into that sort of thing :)

   We are in and out of this co op on a daily basis and all the staff are helpful and friendly. It is well stocked and a godsend in an emergency (birthday cards, boxes of chocolates, last minute Christmas crackers!) - plus the co op card is great too!
