   This is a beautiful place to get away. Only 10 minutes from the heart of Chester, surrounded by farm land it seems like you are miles from anywhere. Our park home was well equipped including two toilets. Our only gripe was that there was no power when we arrived. It took a short while to discover that the outside isolator was off. A good idea if a unit is unoccupied but it would have been nice if the power was on when we arrived. Apart from that I would recommend Fir Trees to anyone needing to get away and also for anyone needing a base to tour the area from.

   We have stayed at the Fir Trees Caravan Park many times over the last four years; most recently last weekend. We stayed in one of the beautiful lodges, very clean, had all the items you could need, very homely and well equipped. The park itself is lovely and peaceful, well kept grounds and friendly people. The park has some lovely walks nearby and is in very close proximity to Chester centre. Another great stay and looking forward to next time already.

   DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY AND PRIVACY. My 24 year old sister was ill in bed while we were out, a man let himself into the caravan with a key, went into her bedroom, woke her up and started going through all the cupboards. She was obviously scared and called us once he'd left. We came straight back and reported it to reception, the man at the desk was nonchalant, typing at his computer as I told him what had happened. He said housekeeping were looking for something they'd lost and were given permission to go through every caravan to look for it, regardless of who is in there. The man did NOT announce himself as housekeeping or say what he was doing, so my sister was terrified and thought it was a thief. Turns out the man at reception WAS the one who went through our caravan, stood there while my sister was in bed and had been lying and playing pretend the whole time. He runs this site with his wife. Being asleep in bed and suddenly woken up by a complete stranger going through your things is terrifying at the worst of times, but imagine it as a young woman. If you can't even feel safe in a caravan you've paid for - then what's the point.

   What a beautiful site so many trees and a beautiful garden which is very well maintained. Mobile home we stayed in was excellent, everything was really clean and tidy. Did not expect to find this in the middle of Chester.

   Our first visit to firtrees and without a doubt we will be returning. Amazing friendly staff that will go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. And making sure we got to our accommodation safely. All are secure with barriers and large locked gates at night. We have been on many caravan/ lodge breaks, but our accommodation was absolutely fantastic with everything we could ever need. Smart TV with netflix amazon Prime, etc. Smart fire Free WiFi central heating Decking with seating and table, etc. Without out a doubt, the cleanest caravan / lodge accommodation we have ever experienced. We even shared our breakfast with the local squirrels, which in itself made my visit. Thank you to Gary for all of your help and the owl present for our little girl who celebrated her birthday. And also the loan of your personal extra clothes hangers. Cannot fault anything at all from the beginning to end of our stay. We will 100% be returning for another break away. 100% recommend staying with firtrees.

   Great location for visiting Chester, loved the canal path , so handy for biking into city . Only downside our caravan had a large tree blocking all sun from our decking. Nice clean caravan, wouldn't hesitate to recommend

   Really nice park. The whole site is very clean and tidy and very well maintained. The site is also very quiet, ideal for a relaxing break. Good location as very close to the city centre and plenty of shops nearby.
