place riddled with bed bugs even though we were with an under 18 year old. when we rang up and told them about the bed bug they never asked for proof so i’m guessing this is an ongoing situation (due to the previous reviews about bed bugs) absolutely vile as it was the family room meaning little kids could stay there unknowingly with bed bugs

Please read this before you stay here! I stayed at this hotel for one night, from Saturday 1st to Sunday 2nd November, in room 8A and it was a terrible experience. I couldn’t sleep all night because the guest in the room above was walking and banging loudly until around 2 a.m. While I understand the hotel can’t control other guests, hygiene and cleanliness are absolutely within their control. After that night, I discovered more than 20 painful bed bug bites all over my body. The itching, irritation, and inflammation have been unbearable, and even after a week, the symptoms are still severe. I contacted the hotel directly and received no response. I then reached out to Expedia, who informed me that the hotel refused to issue a refund, even after I provided photos showing the bites. This shows a complete lack of responsibility, compassion, and care from the hotel management. It’s shameful behaviour from anyone in the hospitality industry. If this happened to your own family, you wouldn’t accept it either. Please don’t stay here. This is an honest review, and I truly hope no one else has to go through what I experienced.

The room was an executive double. If that's the case I'd love to know what a basic double. I assume price was put up for Wimbledon tennis fortnight. The room was clean and not full of bed bugs which on booking. Com seems to be a I issue If you need somewhere to sleep then it's just OK. Over 200 a night is a joke

I stayed in room 1a, for a female staying alone I would highly not recommend you to stay at this hotel, the hotel is not elegant at all, pics can be deceiving, when you check in you call the owner and he buzzes you in and leaves your room key at reception desk, you won’t know at any point if you are alone in that house or not, the pillow had a smell and I had to use the bath towel and hand towel to put on top of the bedding so I can lay on the bed, I did not trust the bedding or the blanket. The room was clean that is all I can say. If anyone is in the room above you because the hotel has wooden floors you will not be able to sleep at all, you can hear every single thing every time they walk or use the toilet it sounds as if it’s in your room. I asked the owner to refund me because after 2 days I was not able to sleep at all and he refused and offered me another room, however, when someone else was checking in, they read a review of bed bugs. The location of the hotel is 15mins walk from the station so with luggage it’s quite a distance. There is also a bell at the front door which rings at anytime of the night when there is late check ins which also disrupts your sleep. If you there to watch Wimbledon tennis you will need to take a train or taxi whichever as it’s not within walking distance.

There’s nothing good to say about this place. Nothing at all. I slept in the room and cleaning it with wipes on unearthed the bed bugs that are LITERALLY everywhere. I stayed in room 8A. I saw one red bug and flicked it off the pillow. Then, I saw another one on my pillow and others crawling on my bed and the side desk the lamp was on. Despite throwing the duvet off and using my cardigan to sleep there was no point because they came unto my cardigan. I have her bug bites all over my body. New ones appearing I think! I asked them to refund all rooms. It needs to be shut down and fumigated. It is unfair to CHARGE people when they’re not resting or at peace….they’re suffering. Do not stay here. Book Premier or book a Travelodge. You CANNOT stay here UNTIL there’s verification it’s been shut down and thoroughly reviewed and inspected by the health organisation and the authorities that licence hotels. This is unfair and the existence of this hotel should not be allowed.

Horrible the owner couldn't care less of the state of his hotel and isn't safe as anyone can access the keys to each room. The 1st room we booked was full of bedbugs and blood on the bed sheets. The owner was rude and dismissive of these facts. 2nd room he offered was just as bad and as soon as we opened the door. All the dust blew into our face. The bedsheets had yellow stains. The surfaces were full of dust and hadn't been cleaned for a long time and no functioning aircon

This was very disappointing, I booked an 'executive room', we could not find anything executive about it!! The room was tiny and we had to climb over furniture to get out one side of the bed! The sheets had stains on them which looked like fresh blood. The pillows, which were very comfortable were stained badly inside, they were covered with pillow protectors which were also yellow and stained. The bathroom had stains on the floor tiles and paint splashes, it all looked quite slapdash and scruffy. It was also very noisy from other guests, the first night we were woken by a noisy couple banging around at 4am, shouting, singing and having very loud intercourse! They did have plenty of tea and coffee facilities in the room and the bed was very comfortable. The location was also very good. We did not see any member of staff after the cleaning lady let us in and a man in the reception office on the day we left. The hotel looked more like a house of multiple occupation than a hotel, the photos and reviews were really good so I thought it was going to be lovely but unfortunately it was not.

Room was nice, although a bit small. The bathroom door should maybe be replaced, as opening and closing it is very noisy. Staff was friendly and we could already place our bags in the room, despite the room not being ready.

Dirty, worn, smelly, noisy. Location is good, 15 minutes from the station. Very unpleasant stay. Not value for money. Wouldn’t recommend. Very bad smell on old and dirty furniture. Couldn’t close/open bathroom window. It is not a boutique as stated on the sign.
