Originally booked in Beckenham, the hotel didn’t open in time so my family (11 people including kids) were moved without notice to ‘Crystal Palace’ (this is Penge). The elevator looks like one you’d find in prison and barely fit 2 people with luggage in, reception confirmed that everyone was on different floors, despite requesting ones together due to kids, one of the bathrooms flooded so had to move rooms, you pay for WiFi (in 2025??), and there was no PIN code provided from reception to use AC so the room was boiling hot. My family moved to Premier Inn in Bromley the next day, which was much better. Don’t open a hotel at all if you can’t provide the basics.

The smell from the carpet was so repulsive, that we seriously considered leaving. Old milk maybe, the carpet needed serious cleaning but nobody did anything about it despite our complaints. No AC, incredibly hot room, stained sheets and no cleaning (not even emptying bins). The staff was friendly but of no help, sweating in the hot reception too. They offered us another room that was just as bad (if not worse, even larger carpet stains), and was sprayed with so much chemicals that it made us cough. Hiding the smell in there too, probably. Just avoid this place if it’s hot, we needed a place to stay in this location, otherwise we would just have left.

Quiet location, ten minutes walk from three overground stations from where you can be in central London in twenty minutes or so. Ample free parking and good sized, clean and tidy rooms. No cooked breakfast on site and we wouldn't purchase the takeaway breakfast again, but other than that, a good base to explore south and central London.

Reception staff are extremely efficient and friendly nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is very clean , basic ,but a good price for the quality and there is ample parking. The entrance from parking is shared with flats and its appearance is a bit grubby, but don’t be put off. Thank you

It's a decent hotel with free parking available. The commute is easy from the location with bus stop just outside the hotel. They only do weekly cleaning but basic amenities are provided. For the value charged, I would have expected to have better service. It's safe to stay, the main entrance is locked at night and accessed through the hotel card. I've had a decent stay overall.

What a dump. No wonder it's cheap. Decrepit hotel badly in need of refurb/closing down. Creaky lift to 6th floor reception, creepy corridors, window covered by opaque plastic sheet so cannot see out. Outside covered in scaffolding. Have to pay for WiFi. No facilities, restaurant, bar, etc. Spend a bit more and go somewhere decent.

What a bizarre hotel. Built above a car showroom, reception is on the 6th floor. Lift access is either the side street or carpark level. With all the construction work going on it was hard to find the entrance to the hotel. Carpark is "rooftop" open style but is height restricted to approx 2M so no access for vans I'm afraid. Lady on the reception was very cheery and professional. Rooms dated, windows have those sliding extra pane on so not the quietest. Hopefully these are getting replaced with all the construction work. Good location, local shops and Aldi supermarket close by.

It's OK. We had to stay there in an emergency. There's a lift but no 'official' accessible rooms. You can technically get a wheelchair up in the lift and fold it to enter a room. It's the usual level of cleanliness and you can order a microwave burger! (who ever heard of a microwave burger?). But there is nothing exceptional there and you would want to be doing something significant locally to actually chose this place. If you're wanting to be local to Crystal Palace then please use another hotel as there are plenty round here.

We were located on the 9th floor, surrounded by scaffolding, so the view was obscured. Occational drilling sounds eminated the building on more than one occasion. Our bins were riffled through the moment we left the room, we were accused of smoking in the room as there was cigerettes, medications and other things thrown away by the staff and we were told we were being investigated. As a disabled woman who has just recovered cancer it was awful. Absolutely invasive.

No cleaning of room during the 3 nights… was clean to start but we had kids with us. During stay the temp locally at night was cool 12 degrees but room still 23 degrees with window open. So hard to sleep, had had the window shut as london is noisy but was even hotter the first night…. Woke with a hanger without drinking. Bathroom has no ventilation (fan vent appears to be decorative) so all steam and smells get to linger and marinate with you with you during the night. We were on top floor but hotel is only the top few floors of tower so not sure a lower floor would have been better. Could have had a nice view but had scaffolding over the entire building - not really a critique as repairs need doing I guess but means there was literally no positives, unless you count the fact that it had beds and a bathroom.
