   Not sure what’s happened to this place over the last couple of years but the customer service experience is now the worst I’ve experienced in retail. Rude and abrupt staff make the shopping experience so unpleasant, I won’t be going back to this store. The bike technician is one the rudest people I’ve ever encountered

   Two stars for the shop, three deducted for the staff, especially some female staff. Seem to go out of there to be unhelpful from the minute you start a conversation. Made it very hard to reserve an item. Go to Bangor all staff go out of their way to help and reserve items! Chester is near to to my home but worth making the extra journey to Bangor

   Loads to choose from good range of tents and sleeping bags , needed advice on which tent to get for when we go camping so asked a guy called jake who was great help gave us advice on all the tents on how durable the tents were and which ones would be ideal space wise, once we had chose the tent we wanted he showed us where to get the tent from and then said if we needed anymore help with anything to let him know

   Stock showing online so I go to collect and they don't actually have it, even though still showing in stock. Manager says can pay there and will be delivered from warehouse in 3 > 5 days. So I pay, drive 19 miles home and get email to say order cancelled as no stock AND I have to go back to store to get the refund! What a joke your company is. Get a grip and sort you inventory system out!

   Great location, absolutely loads of parking space. This GO Outdoors is one of the warehouse size ones so there is plenty of choice in every section. Staff are always happy to help if you can't find what you are looking for. Top tip - buy the membership card for £5 a year, the discounts mean you'll get that back on your first shop!

   Reasonably priced items . Due to refurbishment sale a lot of items had already gone. Quality of the items is really good and they last a good number of years hence frequent visits. Staff really helpful and knowledgeable about items for sale. I would definitely recommend.

   The current 'Closing Down' sale is very misleading. Firstly the store isn't closing down, it's undergoing a refurbishment but open throughout. The '30% off Absolutely Everything' is off the RRP, which is hugely over inflated. This discount is still more expensive than with the members discount card, which matches the price at other stores, making the whole '30% off' closing down offer meaningless. When I explained this to a member of staff, her entire response was 'I know'. I refunded my purchases and won't go again. The quality of the products was good and there was a good range of choice but the willingness to actively mislead customers doesn't sit well. Will go to another more transparent store in future.
