   Hettie out border collie received excellent service from all the vets at Bakewell throughout her life. Hettie lived two years from when her heart failure was first diagnosed in October 23. In our view at least one year additional life was due to the expert care that she received from Giles Bramwell. We are very fortunate to have such an excellent veterinary practice in Bakewell.

   Fantastic place used to go years ago then changed for some reason. Since changing back i've had the best care for my other dog and this one. Great staff very caring don't rush you. They listen to to your concerns and reception staff are great. My dog runs in goes behind to greet them. I've recommended these to all my family and neighbours.

   Unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision to send our old terrier over the rainbow bridge. The staff were incredibly kind and compassionate and gave us as much time as we needed both before and after she went. I know money shouldn't come into it but unfortunately it does, and the bill we received was so much more reasonable than what you would expect from some of the larger chain vets. We live over 40 mins away but will always be taking our dogs there as the service is worth the distance!

   We were staying at the nearby campsite when my dog, Zeus, needed urgent care over the bank holiday weekend. I was petrified because of the type of care that was needed and also worried about the bill over the bank holiday, but Douglas and everyone at the practice were just incredible and you can tell they love animals. I rave to everyone about how amazing the staff were and I only wish they were closer to us at home because I’d love to have them as our everyday vets. Zeus needed to go back over the 3 days we were away and I was so reassured throughout the whole process. Douglas even called on the Saturday night to make sure he was doing ok. Just so appreciative of how well Zeus was looked after and I can’t recommend enough x

   This veterinary practice is the best I have ever come across. The service, care and compassion is second to none. They have supported me and my pets continually and have gone above and beyond at every step of the way. I have been horrified to read some of the previous comments about Giles in particular, as in my experience, he has been nothing but kind, compassionate and brilliant and I will not hear a bad word said about him or anyone else at this practice. Your animals are in the best hands with these people and this town and our animals are lucky to have them!

   Whilst on holiday in the Peak District one of my dogs required some new medication and I was advised by my own vet to contact a local vet urgently. The nearest vets to where we were staying was Bakewell Veterinary Clinic. As it was 8.30pm I phoned their 24 hr emergency number and within minutes one of their vets (Willem) called me back. He asked all the relevant questions following which he asked me to meet him at the clinic. Upon my arrival at the clinic he immediately completed all the necessary procedures and before 9.00pm I was on my way back to our holiday accommodation with the appropriate medication. In less than one hour of my initial phone call to Bakewell Veterinary Clinic my sick dog had been administered the first dose of his new medication. This outstanding customer service went off the scale when Willem told me that he wouldn't accept any money from me as he was going to the clinic anyway to check up on one of his patients. I was left speechless by this incredible gesture which epitomises the fantastic customer focus of this privately owned business.

   I want to thank Douglas, the vet, for all of his wonderful help with my chihuahua. We were on a weekend break from Suffolk and my dog had breathing difficulties.
