Not the usual Woolley Sheep but still good. Excellent beer, food good but has been better (no scallops or choice of sausages or similar as previously served) less of a selection as in the past. Still the best place on the market place.

We had a great experience at the Woolly Sheep Inn in Skipton for our Christmas Meal on Christmas Eve. The food was excellent and really well presented. A special mention to Milly, who was exceptional, friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Customer service was outstanding throughout. We’ll definitely be back.

We have stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the location, being in the town centre and the advantage of their own off street car park. We were looked after well at check-in by Wayne. He was working again at our 1st breakfast, and he shared the pubs' best ghost stories when we asked. Drea was working on our 2nd breakfast service and made time to chat with us at checkout. She is running a superb pub with rooms and we won't hesitate to stay there again next time we visit Skipton.

Came here today, a very busy Saturday lunchtime, to a packed out pub. That in itself speaks volumes. However one of the staff went to great trouble in finding an inside table for four. The food ...starters and mains were all excellent as was the attention of the staff. My three friends were over from Australia and we had a wonderful lunch and time to catch up over the meal. Good food, great staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Went there last night. Staff girls were very polite, smiling, even tho you could tell it was extremely busy. Very good service. Food is simply amazing! Definitelly one of the best pubs in Skipton. Fireplace, atmosphere... everything just right in there.

Great 2 night stay greeted by Andy (nice guy),friendly and warm. The room No12 was roomy with a nice size bathroom and a decent shower, lots of very hot water. We ate there on the Sunday night I had the Sunday roast the wife had the gammon both cooked and presented well. Had a few beers all in good order. Credit to all the staff who all worked with a smile on their faces, nice to see. Will definitely be back if we can get a booking!

Visited for Sunday lunch and lunch the following day. Both meals were great, but the Sunday lunch was really excellent, the beef melted in the mouth and lovely veg. Loads of delicious gravy - which was served on the plate, so if you like it drier ask for it separate. Huge Yorkshires and helpful friendly staff.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The dog was made welcome. I tried to order food at 1154 and was told that unless it's 12, the chef could loose the tickets! Not ideal. They did however accommodate a small change to an item on the menu for a slightly fussy 5 year old. Very kind :) The sausages and mash were excellent although the veg was a little tired. The chips looked good but somehow weren't great. They seemed greasier than you would have like. All in all a pleasurable visit with nice service.

We had a family meal here and words fail me ... The staff were very friendly, the choice at the he bar was very impressive. The food choice was extraordinary, the prices were great, and the quality of the food was truly exceptional. They have highly qualified chefs, so not your usual 'pub food' it is absolutely worth a visit.
