I didn’t expect this place to surprise me but it absolutely did. The moment I walked in, I felt it: peace. No cars. No loud crowds. Just birds, wind, trees, space. And silence the real kind. And here’s the amazing part it was a Sunday, there were so many people around: families near the lakes, people walking their dogs, others gathered near the café... and still, somehow, it was quiet. Calm. Balanced. There are walking paths, sure, but you can literally go anywhere: through open fields, into the trees, wherever your legs take you. No fences are telling you where not to go and yet, the whole place is clean, respected, and cared for. There are lots of benches if you want to sit down, and even bins everywhere (which feels like a miracle in places like this). It’s tidy, natural, and free. And then: the horses. Around 20 of them, just grazing calmly, beautifully, totally unbothered. You can get close, but they’re not there for show they’re just part of the land. And that makes it even more special. I found a quiet place, sat down, and just… let it be. No noise. No pressure. This was my first visit, and I was genuinely impressed. If you need to breathe like, really breathe this is where you go.

Love this park it's pretty big and there's lots of little trails that you can go walking through and across fields, through the forests and see the wild cows and massive lake/ponds. Dog friendly There is parking there's a couple different entrances with parking to the park which is free

Sutton Park is an absolute gem. Regularly come here with the dogs and walk for miles. It perfect for them with lots of water for them to play in and open spaces for them to run.

Always a nice varied walk with many routes to choose from, on clear paths, beaten tracks or completely off road if you fancy it. Woodland, water side, open fields. Car park and good children's play area with a small cafe (take away only).

Brilliant! Most of the time free parking although can get very busy. There's a play ground for the little ones and a coffee shop for the bigger ones. 5 minute walk to the closest lake. Fair few ducks and swans there plus some chicks laying eggs if your very lucky you might see some baby ducks.
