Recently my cat went missing for a week and she’s gotten very skinny so me and my partner went to Pets at Home to get some high nutrition food for her. We spoke to Tia, she was so helpful and advised us to get kitten food with explanation of why it would be best and told us about some brands and why they’re good quality. She answered our other questions and was in general great to chat to. Thankyou Tia!

I was very unhappy to see how some of the rabbits ready for adoption were kept here - housed in small units with noisy air conditioning rumbling through. I understand the animals need to be kept cool but it was unpleasant and upsetting to them in these noisy and confined spaces. Apparently these rabbits are being moved soon as the store is having a refurb. I asked about some of the rabbits up for adoption and they had been in these cages for weeks and some a few months as there had been no interest in them - apparently they are let out for exercise when they are cleaned before the store opens and that's it. Such beautiful animals, I found distressing thinking of them stuck in there. Let rescues look after animals properly - not pet shops. I won't go back to Pets at Home.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at the Wrexham store. I returned a faulty dog toy, and the way I was treated by several staff members was unacceptable. Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with dismissive and sarcastic remarks, inappropriate laughter, and unprofessional behavior. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was further let down by a lack of empathy and an unwillingness to address my concerns properly. The manager’s attitude was curt and biased towards his staff, rather than listening to the customer’s side. This experience has seriously affected my trust in this store, despite being a loyal customer for many years. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve customer service standards.

They have some lovely stuff. However, there should be a way of enquiring about 'in stock' items. We drove 20 miles to buy a GPS tracker for little escape artist "Dora the explorer," but when we arrived, they didn't stock them?!!!!!! FIX IT!!

Extremely helpful staff for advice and puchase of small pets. Staff were extremely busy dealing with customers at the till and enquiries which did make it hard to get their attention and not feel rushed. Very happy with purchases though.

Great variety for pet food and accessories. Also had a hamster from here from the adoption area. No problems with the shop.

Good quality pet food, can be pricey though. Also when buying a pet they go from caring to interrogation. They act like qualified vets and make it a mission to buy or like I did adopt a pet. They make you feel like your unworthy.

The people that work here are often very friendly and I'm sure many of them are animal lovers. But they could be better informed about the animals that they cater for. As they did not know why some hays are said to be suitable for just rabbits. I also received an email when their nuggets changed to say that the old nuggets would still be available in store, but when I went to buy them they were not and when I mentioned how I only had enough nuggets for a couple of days, (not enough to transition my guinea pig to different nuggets, which was even more worrying when my guinea pig would not eat the new nuggets) nothing was mentioned about being able to buy the old nuggets. After receiving that email however, I purchased them online. Furthermore, whenever I buy anything edible from pets at home I always check whether each ingredient is safe. You would be surprised at the amount of things that they sell that at least have something that is pretty unhealthy for your pets. Having dangerous products in their shops somehow does not give you the impression that the company care about animals, which is funny when everything they sell is for animals. Lastly, the majority of the cages and hutches they sell are too small and some of them are dangerous too. It's worst for hamsters and fish, but as far as I'm aware nothing they have is actually big enough for a rabbit. So whenever I go into the shop, I can't help but worry about the adorable animals they have their (which from what I've heard are bred poorly and treated pretty poorly too. The little space they have while waiting for homes also is not great) and the homes they may be going to. I really feel like more needs to be done to protect these animals so many of us love. They deserve better.

What can I say about Beth on sales, but what an outstanding employee representing this outlet. Pets at Home should be well proud of this young lady. She was very polite and her product knowledge was terrific. From the time I stepped into the shop to leaving she was an absolute credit to company. Keep up the good work Beth !!
