   We cannot recommend ChesterGates emergency vets highly enough. Our 9 week old kitten was admitted as an emergency with breathing difficulties just before Christmas. He was diagnosed with a disphragmatic hernia and, as he was not breathing normally without oxygen, his only hope was high risk surgery which had never been performed on a kitten so young. Today, Christmas Day, he came home to us - our Christmas miracle. The staff at ChesterGates are amazing people, doing amazing things in the most caring way.

   We took our dog to ChesterGates Out of Hours Vets on Sunday evening as he was very unwell. Sadly, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to have him put to sleep. From the moment we arrived, the entire team were absolutely incredible. The vet who cared for us was honest and gave clear, informative advice without ever pushing us toward a decision. She was patient, kind, and incredibly understanding, not only with us but with our dog as well. She took the time we needed and made such a difficult situation feel as calm and supported as possible. When the time came, everything was handled with compassion, dignity, and no sense of rushing or pressure. Afterwards, they didn’t ask us to settle any payments immediately, instead allowing us to leave quietly and with privacy, which meant so much given the circumstances and the fact there were other people in the waiting room. We will always be grateful for the care, empathy, and professionalism shown to us during one of the hardest moments of our lives. Thank you to the whole team.

   We rushed Bonnie to Chestergates and honestly from start to finish they’re so helpful ! Finding a trusted vet for your pets hard but from the start on the out of hours visit we made to collecting her sunday after our concerns for IVDD it was all spoken about in a clear and precise manner, full updates throughout ! She underwent MRI and surgery the same day, the collection on Sunday she was basically back to her normal pain free self with all the attention and loves. We appreciate everything from start to finish Thanks to everyone at chestergates, a Vetinary practice who cares unlike most out there who dismiss animals in need

   ChesterGates pets hospital are in my husband and mine opinion second to none in their care of our loved pet members of our family. They have such empathy for the owners and go the extra mile to help and comfort them in their time of need. We were consulted and given the information we needed to make an informed decision about the care our 8 year old American Akita Dude needed and were kept completely informed whilst he was in their care. We cannot thank all the staff enough for the care and attention we all were given and cannot recommend this facility highly enough

   Just over a year ago my French bulldog ate a chicken skewer whole with the stick still inside. He was receiving treatment at a different vets and was given a scan but they couldn’t see anything, he wasn't responding to any treatment, losing weight rapidly, throwing up, passing blood and refusing food etc. After getting no help from my vets I took him to chestergates and they were absolutely amazing. As soon as I got there they came out to the car and helped me get him out as he was very grumpy from the amount of pain he was in- they then took him in for x ray followed by surgery shortly after. He had Peritonitis which is extremely life threatening as well as some sort of disease in his blood and obviously the skewer inside his stomach. His chances were very low but they did everything they could and a couple hours later he came out of surgery with it being a success. The next 24 hours were crucial to see how he responded so they kept him in and gave me multiple updates throughout the day. Thankfully everything went well and he came home to me just 2 days later! I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for me. I was absolutely distraught at the thought of losing him and the staff sat with me and comforted me whilst I waited for his scans. As it was a long and complicated procedure with lots of after care and him not being insured the bill was very expensive. They let me pay some upfront whereas most vets I know will make you pay the full sum beforehand. I needed some time to get my finances together but they were completely understanding and supportive and let me pay the wrest after his procedure- this I’m forever grateful for as I would of had to have him signed over or PTS which I just can’t even imagine. Thankyou so much Chester gates for saving his life❤️ I can’t recommend them enough!

   Recently been referred to Chestergates with our French bulldog who started to have seizures out of the blue. Have to say what a fantastic team you have there. The specialist vet Anna was brilliant cannot thank her enough. Took the time to explain everything to us and answered every question we asked . Without her our sweet girl wouldn't be hear today. Every member of staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this practise. Thankny u all for everything.

   My Wilba has had surgery in on a slipped disk, the care was fantastic and the were very understanding of our situation as a family. Wilba has a bit to go before she's fully recovered but the care she has received is second to none!

   Daisy recently had spinal surgery under the care of your neurology team. From your receptionists onwards I had so much confidence in the care that she received. Everything was explained so clearly that I fully understood the surgery -benefits/risks, potential complications. Even when I was at home and rang for updates people took the time to go through things. When she was discharged I was given clear instructions but knew that if I had a query I could just ring up. Thank you for a fantastic service.

   We were referred here from our local vet hospital and thank the stars we were. The level of care and affection to our cat Gem was second to none. Sadly we confirmed our fears and our little princess had to be let go and allowed to stay asleep due to brain cancer. The mri although expensive gave the correct diagnosis and allowed us to do what was best for her. Simonea was the best vet I have had the pleasure to meet. He was the right person at the right time, who gave us the truth of the diagnosis in a heartfelt sympathetic manner allowing us to accept the truth. We got to say goodbye to Gem and hold here little paws till the end. The after care was also fantastic and we took up the option of cremation and a curved cat casket and a week later we brought Gem back home. Thankyou to all the staff from receptionist to specialist vets you are amazing.
