Great place my only complaint is I spend too much!!! Love the beads great selection of yarn I say oh I've got that o e and that one this is every crafters place I even we t straight here even before I went to my hote i bought so much i had to get an extra bag hee hee l
I had a hell of a time leaving with only enough to fit in my luggage, I could have spent a fortune in here. Then down the stairs was all the fabric and haberdashery. Simply heaven for any crafty folk.
All the years that I have lived in Liverpool and didn't know it was here. I wish I knew about it in the 70's and 80's. Got a real bargain for making a kilt today. Shop staff were so helpful and friendly. Deffo going back. Parking right outside the door too.
I love this shop, there's fabric for any occasion, tools for crafts, and materials for literally anything you can think of craft related. A few bad experiences though recently with the customer service made me drop a few stars. I always come from far and after work, and last time I got there 15 minutes before the closing time, I was greeted immediately after opening the door of the shop with a screechy voice, yelling at me that the shop was closing in less than 10 minutes. You never know where people come from and what efforts they had made to be there BEFORE closing time, it's very rude to greet customers like this. I walked backwards through the same door and left to go to the shop next door who has also beautiful fabric + great customer service.
Everything craft related you could possibly need, massive selection of wool and fabric. Prices are some of the lowest I've found too, and they often have clearances and sell low priced bags of wool/fabric which are amazing value if you aren't after anything in particular. Also do student discount and seniors discount. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Haven't found anywhere else in Liverpool (or even Merseyside) with a bigger selection or better value.
I haven't been here for years and had to ask for advice the staff where very helpful lwill be going again this chair was my mother in law's from 1945 if any one can aberkan can thanks for your help x
Powes Castle is wonderful , a fabulous collection of antiques inside in beautiful state rooms and outside a lovely garden with spectacular views from The Italian Terraces with many peacocks roaming about, giving it a special charm, Powys is well worth visit if you are close.....
